Ted Cruz garnering most delegates from Wyoming by Saturday afternoon

GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz is securing a majority of the delegates from county Republican parties in Wyoming, with over half of the results in Saturday afternoon.

Republicans in Sheridan, Sweetwater, Laramie, Hot Springs, Converse and Uinta counties selected delegates who are pledging to support the U.S. senator from Texas in the Republican National Convention in July.

In Albany County, Republicans selected a delegate who will support Marco Rubio, a U.S. senator from Florida.

The delegate from Teton County will support businessman Donald Trump.

Republican parties in all 23 counties are meeting Saturday to select delegates or alternates to the Cleveland convention, the second of a three-part process to nominate the president for the state's majority party.

Wyoming will send a total of 29 delegates to Cleveland. Twelve are being chosen Saturday. An additional 14 delegates will be chosen at the Wyoming State GOP convention in Casper next month, and three Republicans in state GOP leadership are automatic delegates: Matt Micheli, state party chairman, Marti Halverson, state committeewoman, and Greg Schaefer, state committeeman.

It will take 1,237 delegates for any Republican presidential candidate to receive a majority.

Of the remaining presidential candidates in the Republican field, Cruz is the only one to have visited Wyoming. He spoke in Cheyenne in August at a Wyoming GOP fundraiser. Kasich visited the state Legislature last January, although it was before he had jumped into the race.

Rubio has not visited Wyoming. On Friday and Saturday, U.S. Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, spoke to Republicans on his behalf at events in Teton and Sweetwater counties, Rubio's campaign said. And last month, U.S. Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colorado, spoke to Republicans in Cheyenne.

Republicans in Natrona County, which this year selects an alternate to the national convention, selected a delegate who committed to Cruz.

Highlights from the counties:

•In Sheridan County, 45 Republicans voted for Cruz and 30 voted for Rubio. No delegates offered to pledge for Trump or Ohio Gov. John Kasich.
•In Sweetwater County, 45 people supported Cruz, 28 supported Rubio, 16 supported Trump and no one supported Kasich.
•In Albany County, 39 people supported Rubio and 37 supported Cruz.
•In Teton County, 21 Republicans supported Trump and 19 supported Rubio.
•In Laramie County, 141 people voted for Cruz, 38 voted for Rubio and 37 supported a delegate who signed a pledge to travel to the national convention not pledged to any one candidate.
•In Hot Springs County, 43 people voted for Cruz.
•In Converse County, 38 people selected Cruz and 35 selected Rubio.
•In Uinta County, 53 people supported Cruz.

Republicans living in Wyoming are mostly Mormon.

The Mormons are being influenced and told how to vote by Glenn Beck and fellow Mormon Mitt Romney.

This will not gain traction and means nothing in the big picture. Go Trump

Please explain how Cruz gets enough delegates without FL and OH. If you can’t you’re merely a Romney fan rooting for a brokered convention.

Yes, if you don’t slavishly follow Lord Trump you must be a Romney and/or Hillary fan. Blah, blah, blah...

Yet he keeps winning. LOL

A victory that would make Pyrrhic seem like the U.S' victory after the Spanish-American War.

Truth is anathema to the Trump camp followers. They can’t handle it.

Ted Cruz wouldn’t know the truth if it jumped up and bit him on the butt.

Just FYI -

These are county conventions, the second round. Precinct caucuses were March 1 and selected these county delegates.

If he wins the majority of delegates in WY and Guam, as expected, then that’s very important because it’ll take him to six rule 40(b) states. Only 2 more to go.

Wyoming is not a real caucus/primary state, it’s selected by elected officials at a county convention, not average voters. Basically, GOPe types voted, hence also, the low voting numbers.

It’s sad to see people disparage the reputation of this fine honorable senator from Texas. Mr. Cruz is one of the most conservative people in the senate, yet the Trumpsters treat him like trash.

It’s what republicans do best the “circling firing squad”.

Cruz is NOT the enemy here.

So I’ll take that as you can’t get Cruz to the needed delegates with math so you’re a GOP brokered convention guy. Don’t feel bad I’ve asked this question many times and not one Cruz supporter can explain a path.

A true conservative wouldn’t let Neil Bush advise his campaign.

It’s a valid question. Since youve replied twice now with non answers:
A) you sive a git
B) you can’t get Ted to 1,237

You want a brokered convention. Just like Romney and the Bushes. Got it.
