Pundits so far have been wrong.
here’s a poll
Trump is going to take MO. People are pissed off here. Just sayin...
I’m genuinely curious about Missouri too. It’s a shame there has been so little polling of it. I had originally thought Cruz would probably take it, but after the near-riot in Chicago (and the excesses of the disruptors at Trump’s rallies in St. Louis and Kansas City), Trump may have a real shot.
I think Cruz may have hurt himself when he spent most of his time after the riot condemning and blaming Trump instead of the radical leftists. I don’t know if that would be enough to swing the state, but perhaps with Trump’s more presidential demeanor in the debate, Carson’s endorsement, and a bit of momentum coming out of this past Tuesday it will. I’m still leaning slightly towards the idea of Cruz winning it, but this may end up being a very close race there. Who knows?
I’m in Missouri and after having talked with a few people and looked at the numbers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Iowa, I think it will end up a 41 - 38 Cruz win, and Cruz will take 5 of the 8 districts. That will give Cruz 37 delegates to 15 for Trump.
That Santurom win in 2012 was a farce— noone even attempted to win that state. To draw comparisons to today is ludicris.
Not K Sick!
Though they showed Trump with 36% and Cruz with 29%...the margin of error was 7 percentage points, which might mean a statistical tie.
But digging INTO the poll questions is where it got pretty interesting. It has Trump beating Hillary by 5 percentage points...Cruz beats her by 17%....Rubio by 18%.
Trump LOSES to Sanders by 3%, Rubio wins by 6% and Cruz beats Sanders by 19%.
I live in Missouri. This has been the quietest campaign season in my memory. NO campaign signs in my neck of the woods for anybody but school board members... Not even state reps or US Congress reps... I have NO clue how this state will go. This state is pretty much evenly divided with liberals, republicans and so called independents.... I see the independents going for Trump... They generally do not like to be preached to, as in the loss of Akin for senate a few years back.
I did see a month or so back one old white guy with a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker in Overland Park, KS...
Trump.
Wow. I just heard that there is a good chance of some storms in MO and IL on Tuesday. That might decrease turnout for the lukewarm Kasich voters and the blue-hair Cruz supporters.
Tueaday will show clearly which version of the events in Chicago reached the voting public: the truth about MoveOn.org and Ted and Marco’s disgraceful whitewashing of violent communist agitators....or the mainstream media and GOPe (Cruz, Rubio, Kasich and Carly) message that Trump brought it all on himself.
Lived there for 13 years. Smaller towns conservative, but national elections, I say hildabeast. Remember Claire McKill.
I have no idea how the state will vote as a whole. Personally I was going to vote for Cruz, but after his response to the BLM disruption of the Trump rally in Chicago, I have changed my mind and am now voting for Trump. Many people here in the St. Louis area are sick to death of the BLM nonsense. I was very disappointed in Cruz’s lack of support for the first amendment, and of all things, agreeing with Hillary Clinton! We shall see the results Tuesday evening.
