When Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz came to the Bronx to campaign in the run-up to the New York primary, ridicule was not far away. After all, what is a Republican candidate doing in the staunchly Democratic, minority-majority northern part of New York City? What is he doing in New York State at all, when Donald Trump is nearly certain to carry the most votes and, according to market-based forecasts, has an 85 percent chance to win more than 50 percent of the vote?
Why would Ted Cruz campaign in the Bronx?
For someone like Cruz to campaign exactly where Republicans are least popular is actually a very reasonable strategy. Thats because 81 of 95 delegates are allocated equally between the 27 congressional districts. While congressional districts are drawn by population size, the number of registered Republicans per district varies widely in New York.
As a consequence, some congressional districts will have their three delegates decided by just a few hundred voters....

Bye bye, Ted.
Do the right thing and drop out now.

But Mike Tyson also says, “I’ll f@#k you till you love me, faggot!” So you can’t always go by what Iron Mike says.
Cruz is not a conservative
and that label means nothing these days
He might as well say he is a ham sandwich
I want a American first American as president, I support Trump, the only man who will put America first.
It is bizarre, is it not?
Ted Cruz is one of the most conservative candidates we’ve seen for some time, and he is hated by half of FR.
Yes. But it takes more than a just professing Conservatism to win a GOP nomination.
What do you think the reason is?
There has to be some reason.
Is it that Jim Robinson and the rest of us FReepers are just stupid and uneducated?
Or is it rather that most of us started out supporting Ted Cruz, but he has alienated many of us along the way?
Or maybe Ted Cruz hasn't shown much leadership or statesmanship during this campaign.
Or maybe it's the fact that most FReepers understand that, in order to win a general election, one must appeal to a demographic base that is broader than that which Ted Cruz appeals to.
Or maybe it's because Ted Cruz was supposed to be an outsider, but now he's been grafter onto the GOPe tree and is using every sleazy insider tactic in the book to try to thwart the will of GOP voters and force a contested convention which threatens to splinter, if not outright destroy, the Republican party?
If it's none of the above reasons, then I'd love to hear your take on the question.
I'm not sure, but I can only say that Ted Cruz has alienated me.
Having said that, I'll still vote for him were he to win the nomination fair and square.
I believe that tonight Ted Cruz was mathematically eliminated from a first ballot victory at the convention, however.
That's problematic for me, to say the least...
Vote Trump
There's a couple of important lessons for young Mike Tyson here:
1. Do the sneaky beta-male thingee (whisper "sapiosexual" in the woman's ear while the alpha is distracted)
2. Make sure the chicks don't have eyes, so's they can't identify you afterwards...
Don’t forget Cruz’s man, Stabby Beck. : )
Actual votes are data. Pre-polling, polling and exit-polling are NOT data.
So allow me to translate lonestar's posts on this:
"I'm making 'stuff' up"
Is that some sort of megynkellyslap?
Stand by for Tantrums incoming
Looks like the fox met the hounds.
In New York, the Cruz campaign played the part of Bambi in “Bambi Meets Godzilla”.
Now *that's* classy.
Old school candidates just talked about f'ing the livestock.
He picked up zero from NY!
And Trump is against globalism, for building up the military, controlling our border, ending Obamcare.
So what parts of these aren't conservative?
And primaries aren't run to have convention fights.
After Trump wins big next week, Cruz is finished.
You think the guy who is losing by 400-500 delegates is going to beat the guy who won those delegates and the Party survive?
These Cruz supporters are really quite mad!
How many votes did Trump beat Cruz by tonight?
