Trump is more popular in the Northeast because he is more liberal. I guess Donald Trump was rather popular in the "liberal" SOUTH as well, which he virtually swept?

Trump was helped tremendously in the South by Rubio dividing the Southern bloc of voters along with other RNC contenders.
I don’t think he could win those same states today.
