Support for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump ticked up across battleground states following the Republican National Convention last week, according to the new CBS News Battleground Tracker Poll.
Trump now has 42 percent support across the 11 battleground states surveyed up from the 40 percent he had last week before the convention. Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has 41 percent support, unchanged from last week's poll. According to the poll, 55 percent of Republicans said Trump's message at the convention made them feel hopeful, and about 40 percent said it made them feel enthusiastic.
Among independents, 32 percent said it made them feel hopeful, and 25 percent said it made them feel enthusiastic. Still, another 32 percent of independents said they felt scared.
Among Democrats, 63 percent said what they saw and heard from the GOP nominee at the convention made them feel scared.
Most Republicans left the convention feeling at least somewhat more positive about Trump. The poll found that 46 percent said they became "much" more positive. Among independents, only 23 percent said they came away feeling much more positive, and among moderates, only 16 percent said the same.
The poll was conducted among 2,131 registered voters across 11 states including Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Let us hope too, that the DEMoRAT convention and all its scandals and corruption pulls Hillary Capone DOWN DOWN DOWN.
Hillary takes frequent naps, is often confused, because Russians drugged her Metamucil
Said another way:
68% of Independents were okay with Trump’s speech.
37% of Democrats were okay with Trump’s speech.
Just what you want in the leader of the Free World.
Among Democrats, 63 percent said what they saw and heard from the GOP nominee at the convention made them feel scared...
Faggots. So they’re afraid of Trump’s security but not afraid of the 150 Billion given to Iran, ISIS or abortion on a large scale.
Sounds about right.
Now, watching both of them and hearing more about them and their national organizations, I can't believe that ANY patriotic American, who has a brain at all, would vote for Hillary.
She has disqualified herself over and over and over but the demo's continue to chase rainbows. Their convention should be more than interesting as to how they will attempt to justify her behavior.
A good portion of those “scared” are scared they’ll lose their “freebies” and have to go to work at one of the jobs Trump will create....
Oh, their convention will be all rainbows and unicorns and bad, bad things about that nasty old Trump....
Hmmmm?
They’ll dodge all her behavior and scandal problems as hard as they can...Nobody, and I mean NOBODY will dare utter one word about any of that....
Great point.
My nephew who moved to NC PROMISED he would not ruin NC and stay home if he doesn’t vote Trump.
I made a long email letter to him telling him that he can no longer be apolitical now that children will be on the way for him in a few years.
I’ll see how he responds.
Asked him “why the #### did you leave NJ to go to NC? Think of the reasons, and then decide”
LOL at Huma knowing that Her Thighness was napping..not surprising since we all know they sleep together..and she’s “Often Confused” more like ALWAYS CONFUSED
Not to mention the $6 billion the State Department lost while she was in charge, the ‘careless’ way she handled nation secrets or the millions that the Clinton Foundation took in from foreign entities while she was SOS.
