VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is scheduled to visit Virginia Beach Tuesday.
His campaign Web site said an event at the Sandler Center for the Performing Arts is closed to the public.
Republican operative Gary C. Byler of Virginia Beach told 13News Now that Trump will make a major announcement about Veterans Affairs.
Byler added that a roundtable discussion with family members of veterans may follow the speech.

Trump hitting all the right notes.
It would be nice for Veterans to be treated as other than than the ugly stepchild for political purposes.
Take care of vets by rebuilding our military and letting vets use a Tricare-like system to go to private doctors. The VA is a perfect example of socialized medicine that does not work.
Most of the VA medical staff are OK.
The VA bureaucrats are organized crime.
My dad was a WWII combat veteran in N. Africa, Italy &
Germany. Had flashbacks to Laiatico (Italy), which was a
particularly hard battle for him. “Flashbacks” are NOT just
dreams; they ARE being “there” over and over. Even well into
his seventies; if he had to be put under for surgery or
any procedure, it would trigger a FLASHBACK. WAR IS HELL!
