Just remember anyone who wants to change from EC to popular doesnt care at all about states rights and how the people of a state decide to vote, as a state. Should we just chuck all states rights and have no state laws at all? Whts the point of having states then?

Oh and if states go away so does fedgov because the states created fedgov and fedgovs limited powers are derived from the states.

The end goal of the left is to make the states administrative districts of the federal government.

We must all remember that the popular vote was full of RAT voter fraud including the felons who were allowed to vote by RAT governors. Note, no one is talking about that issue!!! How many million votes did the Witch get via voter fraud??

I’m astonished that so any educated people I KNOW don’t know how the EC works.

I found out a few new things but I KNEW what it was.

You think the low info folks have a clue?

Do they even know that we’re a republic?!?!

Didn’t they ever ponder United “STATES”?

Balancing regional concerns of less populated areas is only one reason the Electoral College is better.

The best reason is protection from vote fraud. Consider what could happen under the following three approaches:

A) System as is now, states run elections and we use representative Electoral College.
B) States run elections as now, but we use the "popular vote"
C) Federal government runs a popular vote election.

Now if we go with option C and some partisan group in power is able to rig the election process to keep themselves in power, then we are lost.

If we go with system B its even worse. We are almost guaranteed the process will be corrupted in a competitive way by the most partisan state governments. For example say Texas gets sick of California padding their totals with dead people and illegal aliens and starts getting very "liberal" in how they count votes. California gets mad and gets even more "liberal" in how they count votes. In short order you have competitive vote padding and at some point or another it will be clear to all that the totals are no longer even plausible....perhaps Rhode Island will suddenly report 3 billion votes for some local hero of their own after the other state's inflated totals are officially reported...and then perhaps the states will compete to be the last to report their official totals....like a second before midnight on January 19th...

Best to stick with system A. yes California and New York can count dead people and illegal aliens, but the Democrats have to corrupt the less partisan swing state's election processes in order to win...and that is harder to do. No matter how "liberal" they are in counting votes, they only get so many EC votes.

If liberals keep yapping about wanting "one person one vote" though, we can always compromise with "one county one vote" ;-).

Of course we should have no state laws. We shouldn't even have national laws.

We should only have laws that are approved by the legislative body and executive leadership of the UN.

Obviously.

Duh.

Report to Room 101 immediately, Citizen.

We are the world, we are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Yes, those who want the popular vote want NYC, LA plus the other largest cities to determine our Pres. It is basically east and west Coast like that. All states count now, and; they all should.
