I wasn't really a closet supporter. If someone asked me who I was voting for I would tell them Trump. Buy I had my trepidations. Mostly about his temperament. Within 2 days after the election I was damn proud I voted for Trump and damn glad he won.

For 2 months I wore my Red MAGA hat every day, here on the California coast.

I met a bunch of chicks and AFTER he was elected..?

People I didn’t even know came up to shake my hand (some black, some Mexican, too), and I wasn’t even wearing the hat —they REMEMBERED me...!

There are great people, everywhere.

Trump had an invisible army of secret supporters who preferred not to voice their views to hostile friends and relatives....>>> so true mostly at work. there were a few of us that would come to my office and talk reality. but we never ventured out into the bozosphere. one guy ragged out a friend of mine who hinted at voting for trump. and repeated the harrange in front of me in his office. i just sat there and let hm spew. i know how to keep my powder dry. and where to deploy.

I had to put up in my writers group with a guy who was constantly bringing articles he was writing about trump and how bad he is. he knew that trump had not been my first pick...

My first pick had been Scott walker who upon looking at his support base got out when he realized that he did not have a chance and to continue would probably do more damage then good for him.
I let him assume that I was not voting at all and three days after the election when we met he asked me who I voted for I said trump and he asked me how come. I told him as flawed a candidate as trump is his flaws are the same one that most people have and that I would never get a perfect choice. I then told him everything he had said about trump was actually the reality of Hillary. he had argued that trump was a fascist.

he then asked how come I was supportive us his writings and I told him that because most of them were an attack of the man not of his ideas that all he did was reinforce those that were avid supporters of Hillary. I told him that his articles actually did more damage to his candidate because they did not speak to anyone but her supporters and anyone reading it who was on the fence would of been put off by it so I did not mind helping in the editing process.

of course I live in California a state that has been so flooded with illegals and is home to the Hollywood liberals so there was no way his articles in the local paper were going to do anything as far as helping Clinton. the state was going to go demacrat no mater what.

I live in the 1-4 corridor and felt free to share my Trump status with everyone. I am sure I flipped a few people. I have been at home for 22 yrs... since my first was born and feel no pressure from a job to keep quiet. Nobody puts a freeper in the corner LOL!

Last summer I was talking to a friend who has moved out of state and the election came up. I don’t remember what she said but I answered, “I’m for Trump and voted for him in the primary,” She said, “Oh thank God! I am too but was afraid to say.”

In this case, their success was their downfall. Most conservatives are people who have things to loose and prefer to avoid conflict when possible. In this election cycle it resulted in a lot of people being very reticent or outright lying to pollsters. We all know the code phrases they use and a lot of people prefer to avoid answers that can lead to conflict.

As a result, the left was totally sandbagged by the actual election results. Most of them still don't understand how a majority of voters in key states would prefer Donald Trump over a secretive, corrupt cranky old lesbian who was quite comfortable going to bed and getting a good night's sleep while four of her people were murdered - then working feverishly to cover up the reason the next morning.
