Rahm Emanuel: Too many Dems care more about being right than winning

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has warned Democrats they need to "take a chill pill" and realize that they are not going to take back national power anytime soon.

"It ain't gonna happen in 2018," Emanuel said Monday at Stanford's Graduate School of Business in California. "Take a chill pill, man. You gotta be in this for the long haul."

As he did last month at an event in Washington, D.C., the mayor expanded on what he believes is the road map back to power for his party — putting moderate candidates such as veterans, football players, sheriffs and business people up in Republican districts, picking battles with Republicans, exploiting wedges within the GOP and fighting attempts to redistrict Congress on partisan grounds....

Actually, he is 100% correct. That is what a SANE Democratic Party should do.

Since there are few sane people in the leadership of the Democratic Party, none of this will happen.

Rahm is brilliant. It is better to control the king than to sit on the throne.

They are about to go stealth and pretend to be reasonable. They will run *moderates*. Vet extremely well on your school board, town council,county board. Keep close eyes on whomever is elected, our side and theirs. Be very alert for secret meetings. Be suspicious. Back people you know and trust and then verify.

My entire area went D over a 30-year period. People said:”Oh, she’s so nice! I like her.” And then there were enough of them to control a budget, go into debt for unneeded *infrastructure*, pass various Agenda 21 programs, raise taxes, control curriculum, et al. The current (serious) push is to become a Sanctuary City.

Overconfidence kills. They do not take no for an answer, just an invitation to push harder.

I would say that rather than caring about being right, the Democrats are suffering from cognitive dissonance that comes from avoiding accepting how wrong they are. They are so certain that they are right they demand that the world change to fit their preconceived notions, rather than changing their thinking to adjust it to the real world.

Notice that Emanuel is assuming that Democrats are “right” - whatever the Hell that is supposed to mean - but need to hide their true beliefs in order to succeed politically. We’ve just had eight years of taqiyya. How’d that work out for you?

Gosh, remember when Rahm Emanuel was just a young corrupt Clinton henchman running "Citizenship USA" out of Vice President Al Gore’s office? Remember when he used to meet with INS Commissioner Doris Meissner at midnight to push through illegal alien citizenship without vetting? And remember that time they had DNC volunteers waiting to register 11,000 "new citizens" to vote in assembly line fashion at Soldier Field?

Hey, those were heady days of crime and corruption. Activists today are just not as efficient in their illegal activities as Rahm Emanuel was!
