Trump supporters see a successful president — and are frustrated with critics who don’t
The Washington Post ^ | February 19, 2017 | Jenna Johnson and David Weigel

MELBOURNE, Fla. — Many of President Trump’s most dedicated supporters — the sort who waited for hours in the Florida sun this weekend for his first post-inauguration campaign rally — say their lives changed on election night. Suddenly they felt like their views were actually respected and in the majority.

But less than one month into Trump’s term, many of his supporters say they once again feel under attack — perhaps even more so than before.

Those who journeyed to Trump’s Saturday evening event on Florida’s Space Coast said that since the election, they have unfriended some of their liberal relatives or friends on Facebook. They don’t understand why major media outlets don’t see the same successful administration they have been cheering on. And they’re increasingly frustrated that Democrats — and some Republicans — are too slow to approve some of the president’s nominees and too quick to protest his every utterance.

“They’re stonewalling everything that he’s doing because they’re just being babies about it,” said Patricia Melani, 56, a Jersey native who now lives here and attended her third Trump rally Saturday. “All the loudmouths? They need to let it go. Let it go. Shut their mouths and let the man do what he’s got to do. We all shut our mouths when Obama got in the second time around, okay? So that’s what really needs to be done.”

She blames the media for circulating “fake” stories about the president — like when she believed he was “very cool, wasn’t yelling” at a Thursday news conference, yet a CNN anchor described his behavior as “unhinged.”(continued)

I don’t think “frustrated” is even on the radar screen. “Outraged” with the fake news, “saddened” by the demise of a responsible press, “joyous” over the relief of not having the Kenyan running his smart mouth all the time. But not “frustrated.” Libtards are “frustrated.”

Frustrated? WAPO calling Trump supporters frustrated?

Frustrated means caring what WAPO thinks. Trump supporters don’t give a damn what WAPO thinks!

Hey WAPO! Go cry in your corner Wah!!! Not getting enough attention from the hottest thing in town, the Trump movement? Too bad pussies!

Sorry to go off topic...the 65 year old Russian ambassador to the UN died in NYC yesterday? Was that news already posted and I missed it?

Seems kinda young for a heart attack.

Trump is kicking a** and it’s leftists that are melting down.

Another SCOTUS pick coming. Repeal of Obamacare. Lots of good things coming our way this year.

Trump is delivering on his promises.

The MSM is now ghost written blogs for billionaires. Bezos owns WaPo. Carlos Slim, Mexican, owns NYT. They’re essentially money losing blogs that billionaires buy to be power players.

Trump should consider taxing Amazon’s sales.

We should look if foreign nationals should be able to own our major media companies as well.

Yes, there have been several threads on the Russian ambassador to the UN’s untimely demise. Not to be callous, but most likely the Russians did it...

Don’t these people realize that if President Trump were half the “fascist” they say he is that they’d be in a concentration camp?

Don’t see how that’s callous.

What is your reasoning. He was supposedly well liked by Russia.

Would seem more of a deep state murder to inflame things.

But I would love to hear your reasoning.

Churkin was a hit job by Muslim and pedophile elements. He was investigating organ harvesting, trade of body parts, sex trafficking of minors in Kosovo while Kosovo is being repatriated to Serbia.

He was well liked in Russia and pretty much everywhere. He was in very good health.

When in the history of this great nation has the so-called press ever been “responsible”? Only during WWII and not all of them during that. Politicians and the Press have a longstanding feud that goes back to before signing of the Declaration of Independence. Most not having been taught or even learned about this feud since the beginning only relate to what they have presently seen. This is not a defense for the LSM, it is a matter of record. The Press has not always been the most responsible even before the modern era Presidents which goes back to JFK. The press are given first amendment rights but they have grabbed power beyond this it’s not really funny anymore. Under the guise of the first amendment they have surreptitiously grabbed more than what has been granted them under the first amendment. They are receiving a backlash for it now as the public seems to be dragging them screaming and kicking to within those boundaries. Like all Constitutional protections, it is a tug of war, give and take. And when they take to much they are dragged back.

Oh yeah. The first things all fascist dictators do are expand gun rights and slash government regulations.
