Prospective Democratic gubernatorial candidate J.B. Pritzker slammed President Donald Trump Thursday for stripping federal protections that allowed transgender students to use school bathrooms and locker rooms matching their gender identities, but his idea for a protest raised some eyebrows.
“As a protest against Trump’s rescinding protections for trans kids, everyone should use the other gender’s bathroom today,” Pritzker tweeted alongside the hashtag #protecttranskids....

According to him, and the protesters, there are TWO “genders.” (Correction: sexes).
But that violates standard leftist dogma that gender is not binary, but is a continuum with an infinite number of gradations.

I live in Wheeling, and I’m glad that a famous Illinois Democrat said something so strange. Whom do you hope will be the democrat nominee for governor? I hope it will be State Sen. Daniel Biss. He’ll lose, and, if he runs, statewide, instead of running for re-election, the 9th District will have an open race for the first time since 2002. That will help the district (which includes Wilmette, part of Glenview, and part of Northbrook) elect a Republican.

Oddly, there were no “federal protections” that allowed it. There was only a “guidance letter” which at best might scare public schools into taking some form of action to avoid a lawsuit.
And further, that guidance letter itself was being litigated, and the “policy” pushed by the letter was put on hold by the courts, so NOT A SINGLE TRANSGENDER PERSON had anything currently changed by the rescission of that letter.
Lastly, some other articles are saying Trump “reversed” something. THat is truly “fake news”, because the “reverse” of “allowing transgenders to use bathrooms of their own choice” would be “NOT allowing them”. But Trump did not impose any regulation, he merely removed the guidance that tried to force a regulation. Any state or locality that wants to can open their bathrooms to anybody they want.
