Democrats have turned to Hollywood actor Samuel L. Jackson to help get voter to rise up and flip Georgia’s 6th District on Tuesday.
In a radio ad that launches Saturday, Jackson calls on voters to back a Democrat to send a message to Donald Trump.
“Remember what happened the last time people stayed home: We got stuck with Trump,” he said.
The ad, funded by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, does not mention Jon Ossoff’s name. But it’s clearly aimed at helping his candidacy as he tries to secure a majority of the vote Tuesday in the 18-candidate field to avoid a costly runoff.
He’s found a ready ally in Jackson, a Morehouse College graduate whose booming voice also narrates Atlanta Falcons hype ads. In the radio ad, Jackson said a vote in the special election “goes a long way towards setting things right in this country.”
He adds: “Vote for the Democratic Party. Stop Donald Trump, the man who encourages racial and religious discrimination and sexism.”
Jackson is the latest celebrity to help Ossoff’s cause. Actors Alyssa Milano and Christopher Gorham offered to pick up voters casting early ballots for him. And a long list of other bold-faced names have donated to his campaign....

Years ago, I vowed never to send Jackson another dime by seeing one of his pathetic movies after he starred in an Obama campaign ad featuring small children dropping the “f-bomb.” It was surreal in its evilness.
Thanks for the reminder. I’m gonna watch Django Unchained again tonight just to see this commie get wasted again.
