Senator Bernie Sanders has said it is “likely” he would have beaten Donald Trump in the 2016 election, but that “it doesn’t matter” now that Mr Trump is president.
He was speaking on Showtime’s The Circus when he was asked about populism in the US and how Mr Trump had tapped into it to win.
“What I recognised was pain. All over this country people are hurting and they are hurting very badly. Trump understood that, by the way, and that's why he said, 'The whole system sucks. I'm going to blow it up,’” Mr Sanders said.
Mr Sanders has been an outspoken critic of the president's policy on the environment, healthcare, the economy, and a host of other issues.
Mr Sanders’ campaign run garnered millions of supporters however he ultimately lost the Democratic Party’s nomination to Hillary Clinton....

Every once in a while Bernie Sanders is correct. Sadly, this statement is one of them. He would probably have won because voters are that ignorant and misinformed.
With three homes Sanders is not exactly the “Marxist Leader” the proletarian fools would want. Even they understand hypocrisy, I think.

If you analyze the 2016 election map, Hillary outperformed Obama in many key counties. Basically, Hillary’s cheat machine was in overdrive. She especially cheated in the states she had to win to cut off, what she believed, were any possible avenues Trump had to 270. Bernie could never match the Clinton crime machine. It beat him after all in the primary.

Bernie thinks he would have won against Trump? Hitlery’s operatives ran circles around Sanders and his organization, if he could not surmount Hillery as Trump did, he would never have won over Trump.
If Bernie had run against Donald Trump, the nation would not have chosen socialism. Just as they would not have chosen the Hillary progesterone poison.
It was time for America to chose an all American, which Bernie never was.
In fact I knew Bernie back in 1983 when he was protesting garbage trucks for the lack of recycling in Stannard Vermont,an small , remote mountain hamlet with a population of 216, where he used to live with his 1st wife as a back to the land hippie from NYC. In fact he later evolved to be one of two Vermont’s village idiots along with Howard (Deaniac) Dean, both rare vintages hardly acceptable to the patriotic palates of America.
Donald Trump would have beat Bernie like a drum, just like he did Jeb Bush, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio.

It’s an interesting and I’ve some good reasons here why Bernie had a chance.
