The hatred liberals have for republicans is knee jerk and unrelated to anything the republicans do. They were just as active against Bush as they are now.
The situation is actually better now than it would be without Trump because the liberals are making all sorts of nonsense claims about Trump bringing back slavery and building prison camps which will never come true and which will discredit them with the public.
