The agreement could have targeted the root cause of global warming, greenhouse gas emissions.

No Kasich. The root cause of global warming is the federal grants given to universities to do research on "global warming". If tomorrow all those grants were stopped and the federal government started handing out grants for global cooling research, we would suddenly have a global cooling problem.

Ask any liberal what they know about the Eisenhower presidency and they will cite his warning about, "The military-industrial complex," from his farewell address. Ask them what he also felt was an equally grave threat to the republic and they will don a blank stare. In his address, immediately following his discourse on the military-industrial complex, Eisenhower warned of the, "scientific-technological elite" wresting control of public policy. Keep Ike's words in mind when considering the topic of, "climate research":

Akin to, and largely responsible for the sweeping changes in our industrial-military posture, has been the technological revolution during recent decades.

In this revolution, research has become central, it also becomes more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.

Today, the solitary inventor, tinkering in his shop, has been overshadowed by task forces of scientists in laboratories and testing fields. In the same fashion, the free university, historically the fountainhead of free ideas and scientific discovery, has experienced a revolution in the conduct of research. Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. For every old blackboard there are now hundreds of new electronic computers.

The prospect of domination of the nation's scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present – and is gravely to be regarded.

Yet, in holding scientific research and discovery in respect, as we should, we must also be alert to the equal and opposite danger that public policy could itself become the captive of a scientific-technological elite.

It's all about the Benjamins.

U.S. Paid $1 Billion To Paris Agreement Green Fund – All Other Nations Combined $0…

Posted on  by

The Paris Treaty was/is always about distribution of economic wealth; and the convenient use of “climate phrases” as branding instruments used to create political policy favorable to multinational corporate interests who control the shifting of economic wealth.

Listen to the responses from participating EU corporate comptrollers discussing climate and the entire purpose of the Paris Treaty becomes self-evident.  Example:

“The preservation of our competitive position is the precondition for successful climate protection. This correlation is often underestimated.”

Matthias Wissmann, President of German Auto Industry Group VDA

The preservation of Germany’s competitive auto manufacturing position is contingent upon the U.S. exporting it’s wealth and handcuffing itself to a faux-climate treaty.  Do not take my word for itread Wissmann’s own interview.  The Paris Treaty is nothing about climate, and everything about economics and multinational corporate interests.

The disconnect is almost staggering. People screaming and going nuts over some scam treaty that probably makes millions for “green energy” moguls. I think we may need to explain to the left that the media (who acts as if the Paris Accord is the magna carta) has no credibility left. It’s like the olympics, just a major feeding trough.

I thought they did that back in the 70s. The chumps were saying we were going to have a new ice age. They were lying then too.

One of the best things about the internet is that it makes it so easy to compile a list of jackasses who should no longer be taken seriously in any facet of life.

I didn't even bother reading what Kasich had to say ... because he was already put on my list a long time ago.
