He is my friend and I have supported him going back to his days in the state Senate. I met up with him at a party function after his re-election and asked him about his plans for expansion of Medicaid in the state. He said he "felt moved" to do it and that God works through people as well as with people. I told him those were fine sentiments but that government can only do so much and isn't terribly efficient at doing these things anyway. He said he thought he could make it work.
I don't know, what do you do in a case like that? I don't want to throw him under the bus, but he is obviously getting a bit wobbly. He's wrong on some things and right about a lot of things. It may be a personal thing. He and I are the same age and thoughts of his own mortality may be clouding his judgment. I know I suffer from this and have to make a conscious effort to work through it using logic and reason informed by faith and pragmatism.
Where did Obama get one billion dollars to fund the Paris Accord?!

One thing I have wondered about is where was Congressional oversight on this Paris Accord thing? Same with the Kyoto summit business with Clinton. Were those treaties? If so, where is the record of the Senate function of advise and consent? If it is simply an Executive action then the Congress has jurisdiction over that, too, in terms of oversight and the power of the purse.
