We are split because we demonize people who disagree with us. That someone is wrong on an issue makes him stupid, ignorant; but not necessarily unredeemably evil.
If Oscar Lopez is demonized, should I then be demonized because I would not yield to the pressure of the ATF/Chairman Rostenkowski to frame my friend Oscar Lopez because Oscar threatened Rosty’s voter base?
If they are trying to deny me something or take something away from me (Keystone pipeline and gun control for example) that makes them evil. No gray area.

Compromise with the Left doesn’t work. They just take a little now, and come back for more, later. They never give anything up in those ‘compromises.’
