Even if she is only marginally better than Ossoff would have been, this is a massive win politically. The Rats have had their tender little hopes crushed, bigly.

The fact that their Chosen One was soundly beaten by a fairly unimpressive candidate makes the victory even sweeter.

But it’s high time Republicans stopped putting forth unimpressive candidates. Most of the Tea Party winners have been disappointments. Look at Trump as a model for the kind of person that state and local Republican parties need to recruit. We cannot stand more ‘because it’s her turn’ or ‘best of a bunch of bad choices’ kind of candidates.

Define “unimpressive.”

Karen is not particularly charismatic, I will grant you, and she’d probably gladly admit.

She has a very strong resume of real accomplishment.

I’ll take that over a charismatic glad-hander any day.
