Wisconsin's Republican Gov. Scott Walker encouraged President Trump to “tweet more” on Friday, in stark contrast to recent Republican backlash over some of Trump’s more incendiary tweets.
“Unlike others, I’d tell him to tweet more, to be on Facebook more, to get the message out more, but to be focused,” Walker told FOX’s Julie Banderas.
He praised the president’s direct connection on social media with “all these great Americans.”
“Tweet more, I’m fine with but don’t get off in the weeds on other issues,” the 2016 presidential candidate said. If the president focuses on the issues he was elected by the people to do, the American people, I think, will come along with him.”
Trump started a media firestorm Thursday morning when he attacked MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski on Twitter, adding to a long list of tweets during his presidency taking aim at his media critics.
He sparked criticism from both sides of the aisle. A growing number of GOP allies have since directly asked Trump to stop tweeting.

Sounds like Walker is finally GETTING IT, although the sentence above is a bit open to interpretation.
My interpretation (although not most people’s): Trump was elected to TAKE ON THE MEDIA, among other things, and he is doing just that.
Walker was my first choice when all the "debates" began. He never caught on and stayed a governor. He would not have beaten Hillary anyway.
The problem is, I think, that Trump’s tweets in this case distracted from major positive movements (travel ban, Katy’s Law, Sanctuary Cities.)
I’d have been happier if Trump had Tweeted something like < Joe & Mika are irrelevant - just look at what we are accomplishing that most people want: travel ban, Katy’s Law, Sanctuary Cities. >
Then if Trump thinks more “trash talk” is needed for psychological effect, hit ‘em (Joe and Mika) again on the next “slow” news day.

Exactly, but it’s not a problem, it’s the whole point. Trump is purposely getting the media to focus on the distraction because he knows that their attention on the real issue is always counterproductive.
Take the travel ban for example. Most politicians in both parties know in their hearts the travel ban is the right thing to do for the safety of the American people, but the democrats and some republicans are afraid of being cast as racists or anti Muslim if they support it. Or they are afraid of being seen as pro Trump if their support is publicized.
Who enforces the false PC meme that the travel ban is anti Muslim? The MSM. Therefore, the politicians need political cover to support it. Hence the distractions.
Ever notice that every time Trump writes one of these provocative tweets and it’s all the media can talk about, those are the very days when Trump accomplishes 5 or 6 big things like the ones you mentioned?
That’s how he operates - “Look! A squirrel!”
The media is against his agenda. They are his opponent. They are the last people he wants poking around where the real action is. So he sends them on a wild goose chase.
Yep. So much of ‘higher’ education is simple indoctrination and training to conformity.
I might agree with that if the policies in question were unpopular, or, close to a 50 / 50 split.
However, these are not.

The fans can only watch the line drive, the earned runs and the crowd reaction if the cameras show it and the commentators report it honestly.
If MLB televised coverage were as corrupted, dishonest and fake as the MSM, the cameras would never show Trump’s line drive, the runners touching home plate, the cheering fans or the winning scoreboard.
Instead, the viewers would be treated to a panel of commentators agreeing that Trump was unsportsmanlike, a cheater, and a disgrace to baseball.
Then a series of doctors and retired baseball celebrieties would claim he was on steroids and that his own team mates hate him. He would be accused of racism, incest, wife beating and homophobia.
The viewers would never see what actually happened.
Trump is far better off getting the MSM to chase a “squirrel”, and then using Twitter the next morning to report the truth about what he accomplished in his own words.
Followed of course by another tweet about the fakeness and stupidity of the MSM, who totally missed the real story because they were stupidly chasing a squirrel!
Then finally, a third tweet to set up a “squirrel” to draw the MSM’s attention for the next day’s news cycle.
Believe me, Trump knows what he’s doing.
Problem is, Trump needs more than a minority of the fans. Most people (myself included) read or hear of his “squirrel” tweets with negative spin already attached.
With popular, sensible policies, the MSM has a lot harder time spinning them. (The MSM still tries, but in many cases, it appears most people see through the spin.) IMO.

Fortunately, the support for Trump and MAGA is growing rapidly and is far more extensive than the MSM is reporting.
The MSM’s failure to predict Trump’s victory, failure to report his successes and obsession with fake theories and false accusations of wrongdoings - are not due to their ignorance and incompetence.
They aren’t getting everything wrong because they are clueless - they are getting it wrong on purpose, to try and demoralize us. They publish polls which understate support and enthusiasm for MAGA for the same reason they downplay crowd sizes and excitemrnt at his rallies.
They are only fooling themselves though, so I’m looking forward to more electoral victories in 2018 and 2020.
