Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) is planning another run for the presidency in 2020, according to a report from New York magazine.
Since losing the nomination in last year’s Republican primaries, Kasich has kept on members of his campaign team who are helping him decide whether to run as a Republican or as an Independent, as he urges the Republican Party to move sharply to the left.
“I think we need to be pro-environment,” he told the magazine. “I think we need to completely redo education. … Look, I loved Ronald Reagan. I met Ronald Reagan. But Reagan was then. Now we gotta move on.”

In an interview with Fox News Sunday, Kasich said ......
“I think the bulk of the Republican Party — and I’ve been in the party since I was a college student — it’s one that believes in the fact that America has a place in the world, Reagan talked about it, it advances humanity. I agree. I think the bulk of the Republican Party does believe that immigration provides energy to our country.”

Eisenhower limited immigration substantially. Was he a bad citizen?
Should run as a Democrat as his policies more fit them.
I know the feeling. The repugnance level is strong with those two.

As an independent he will trash Trump over 90% of the time during debates with the remaining 10% describing why he is better than the Democrat. It will basically be two against one. Very few Democrats will vote for him. He has no base.

Kasich must suffer from the politician's version of CTE. When you lose as badly as he has, there ought to be a "political concussion" protocol, which among other things, includes a timeout.
Hillary would benefit from a political concussion protocol, too.

That the idea of putting a wall along a country's border is controversial tells you what an Alice in Wonderland world we now live in. I read that a Protestant preacher recently criticized Pope Francis for being against the border wall, arguing that there's a wall around the Vatican and he doesn't hear the Pope calling to have THAT wall torn down. I thought, “SHHH...don't give the jackass any ideas!” I wouldn't put it past Frankie to have the wall around the Vatican torn down! After all, the Muzzies aren't going to bother THIS particular Pope...he's the best friend they could ask for!
