Funny that National Review now wants GOP to boldly go to populism, but without the bombastic Trump to lead them. Why? Because apparently Trump enjoyed a hugely successful first year without the sages from NR to direct how he should govern.

Here are the suggestion of populist reset by the GOP from this author:

More heavy "investment" in infrastructure spending; expanding health care; forgiving student loan debts; cut back 'guest worker' program with a DACA deal; diversify the financial sector and no "Too Big To Fail";

Let's just see who in the sea of GOP critter swamp (other than Trump) will rise up and take up the leader mantle and boldly go where no other GOP had gone before.

All they really want is the final amnesty that will cement in place the GHW Bush Plan for North Mexico.
They are desperate to keep US from sending home the 30 million people they invited here against our will.
