How will you deal with the “Roy Moore” treatment that all Constitutionalists must face - hoax accusations, election fraud, 10s of millions in dark money opposition and so forth?

I don't know; certainly pray, though beyond that I have pretty much nothing to say except the truth: I have zero criminal record, put myself through college via the Army, hold a security clearance, and have led a generally unremarkable life insofar as interesting goes.

Any relation to Hamilton Fish?
Hopefully no relation to Albert Fish. 8>)

I have no clue; I'm not into genealogy at all, but I have an aunt who was so she might know.

In most states you have to be enrolled in the party of the nomination you are seeking. I would be circumspect that NM is any different.

The information the Sec. of State put out said affiliated, not a member.

Candidates for US Senate should not be wasting their time posting and responding to comments from people who cannot vote for them.

Perhaps, but I think that (a) it would be unjust for me to simply ignore someone attempting to converse in good-faith and (b) should I seek the Presidency, it would be good not to alienate someone who could vote for me.

You would know if you were related to Hamiltion Fish, I, II, III or IV. All New York democrats of note.

Your lack of knowledge on several fronts show that you are clearly not ready for prime time. The incumbent has a $3 million war chest. He would crush you if you some how got past the Republican front runner. Your comment that you don’t know enough about Mr. Rich say to me you are a flake candidate who has no clue about running for office. I have dealt with many over the years and wouldn’t waste my time even giving you an interview.

Common courtesy should tell one what is “accepted” and what isn’t. I would never be so bold as to assume that because someone gave me a source of potential voters, I could send them all letters requesting funding for my campaign.

I’m thinking you’re looking for support in the form of votes, and were I in that position, I would ask, first.

Perhaps, but I really don't care about him — I care about trying to do some good, to promote Constitutionalism and Justice…

Your comment that you don’t know enough about Mr. Rich say to me you are a flake candidate who has no clue about running for office.

Why? I have zero interest in running a smear campaign, and want to win on my own merit.

I have dealt with many over the years and wouldn’t waste my time even giving you an interview.

Hey, I'm completely honest about my lack of training or experience in politics.

So, are you the FReeper formerly known as “OneWingedShark?
If so, I remember some good FR discussions with you, but I now see that that account has been banned.

And while I mostly agree with what I have read in your post / on your site, I (and probably most everyone else reading this thread) would need to know a lot more about you before even thinking about voting for you.

Where do you live?
Are you a native New Mexican?
What is your educational background?
What is your profession?
Have you ever served in public office?... (starting out your political career running for the US Senate seems like a big step... even 0bama got elected to his state senate before he went for national office).
Have you served in the Military?
By your photo, you appear to be about 25 years old?
etc.

I think if you were related to Hamilton Fish you would know it, as they had a family political dynasty in New York. As for Albert Fish, you may not want to look into him being a family member because he was a serial killer. Sometimes not knowing is a blessing. 8>)

Good luck to you, however, I have to be honest. I wouldn't vote for you if you ran on the Democrat ticket, because for me that is a non starter right off the bat. Had Donald Trump run on the Democrat ticket I wouldn't have voted for him in the last Presidential election. While totally disgusted with the GOPe, I could only bring myself to vote for the Republican. Him having a sketchy, at best, political support background of both parties made me initially reject him when he announced. But the more he talked the more I listened because I liked what I heard, and he proved to be a fighter. Something I haven't seen in a Republican since Reagan, though he possessed a little more finess. I was hooked and could have cared less about his sketchy political support background after realizing that.

As Mr. Fish said the NM Ping list is on my home page and available for use by New Mexico FR members. It has not been abused by others and I would like to keep it open for others to use for local, New Mexico related news items.

In its use in this instance I would say that the post comes close to being unwelcome by its members. While not knowing Mr. Fish, I would have to say that announcing his candidacy in such a manner with the information he provided appears non-serious at best. I’m not asking the mods to remove it, but would caution all that posts in the News Forum should not appear to be frivolous or trivial.

You’ve never gotten that from anyone on your resemblance to actor Matthew Broderick and his most famous character ?

Yep; that's me.
IIRC I made a comment about how [I think] that feminism has seeped into our culture to the point where it's essentially impossible to find American women who haven't absorbed it.
(Thank you for the complement, re: good discussions.)

And while I mostly agree with what I have read in your post / on your site, I (and probably most everyone else reading this thread) would need to know a lot more about you before even thinking about voting for you.

Awesome; let's answer some questions. (I'll throw them in an ordered list.)

  1. Where do you live?
    Las Cruces.
  2. Are you a native New Mexican?
I wasn't born here, but we moved here when I was about 8.
  3. What is your educational background?
I was home-schooled up through high-school, with the exception of one semester; got a Bachelors of Computer Science from NMSU.
(I would probably have gotten a Masters if it hadn't taken 10 years to get the Bachelor's; see #6.)
  4. What is your profession?
Software Engineer ("Programmer") and amateur [unpublished] author.
  5. Have you ever served in public office?
    No — I have not.
  6. Have you served in the Military?
Yes — 9 years in the Army [National Guard]; it's how I put myself through college.
    I got deployed/activated several times:
    1. Operation Noble Eagle … all the way to White Sands Missile Range.
    2. Hurricane Katrina — I got a medal from LA for it, even though it's not "worth" the most, it's the one I value the most.
    3. Operation Iraqi Freedom — I was in Baghdad when it snowed for the first time in 100 years [about Christmas 2007].
  7. By your photo, you appear to be about 25 years old?
    I'm 35.
What else would you like to know?

I can completely understand that — I understand that a lot of people still see things through D vs R rather than elite [uniparty] vs the common-man and still have emotional attachment/loyalty to their team despite being stabbed in the back.

I have, though only once — at my old church, actually.
