.Two polls - one internal and another independent - released on Monday show a tight race in the marquee match-up between Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.) and her likely GOP opponent Josh Hawley.
Hawley's campaign is touting a memo with an internal poll showing Missouri's Senate race in a dead heat. The poll finds the state's attorney general ahead of McCaskill by a razor-thin margin, 47 percent to 46 percent. Seven percent of voters are undecided.

Todd Akin didn't blow up his campaign until August. There's still plenty of time to screw up again.
McCaskill will be running to the center/right until November. She will be left again by December.

It's going to depend. Hawley has to walk a fine line as a Republican Attorney General investigating and perhaps prosecuting a Republican governor. A lot of otential pitfalls in that.
Don’t have a dog in that hunt buts it’s kinda like establishment GOP vs a definite outsider, former Democrat, kinda rough military guy with “interesting history” with the ladies (in his camp, not too chosey about the gals either.)
This is the one I most want to win.
And, I do think she’s toast.
Just make a commercial of her saying(before the election) that there is no way it can be hacked and contrast that to her screaming Russians, Russians, Russians after Trump wins.
An incumbent should be 10 points ahead. Dems should be very very worried about this one.
I feel the opposite of some others. I thought Hawley would have a pretty substantial lead at this point.

You are talking about the current Governor of Missouri. Josh Hawley is the current Attorney General of Missouri and has brought charges against the Governor.
I think that you are listening to Claire and her friends. They want the people of Missouri to think that Hawley is Governor.
No sites with Senate predictions want to have a Dem seat listed as tilt GOP. T oss Up is good as it gets, even if WVA gets the best GOP candidate .
Claire McCaskill will lie, cheat, steal, murder, whatever it takes to win this election. She is just getting started and the media of St. Louis, Columbia, and Kansas City will be all be doing their part to help her.
As and outsider (Canadian) who is fairly ignorant of state races, I wonder how Democrats win Senate seats in Red States?
