U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., remained mute about her 2020 ambitions Thursday during a town hall meeting in her home state, but attacked the Trump administration’s immigration policies as “immoral” and said she supports a ban on “weapons of war.”
“This administration, as far as I’m concerned, has put a target on California’s back and we’re going to need to fight this,” Harris told a crowd of more than 1,000 people in the San Fernando Valley, many of whom were young students, the Los Angeles Daily News reported.
She criticized the administration's zero-tolerance policy on illegal immigration, which has led to at least 1,300 children being separated from parents who attempted to cross the border illegally....

She is a 14th amendment citizen. She would not have been a citizen by Federal law prior to it’s passage. That makes her, in effect, a citizen by statute, similar to one who is naturalized. Read the SCOTUS decisions on Wong Kin Ark vs. US, or Minor vs. Happersett, or the Venus Merchantman case of 1814, or Perkins vs Elg.
Every time the SCOTUS defined what an NBC was in a case that required such a definition, it was always a person born on US soil with TWO CITIZEN parents. It is long past time for a definitive ruling from the Supreme Court on what constitutes an Article II Natural Born Citizen, but as Clarence Thomas said, “we are avoiding that one.” We don’t need another globalist anti-american usurper like Obama, who would elevate the interests of US hating globalists over those of our nation.
The republican party needs to make a definitive statement her eligibility. If she says she will run, then they should pursue it in court.

Throughout the history of the United States, the dominant legal principle governing citizenship has been jus soli—the principle that birth within the territorial limits of the United States confers automatic citizenship. Not jus sanguinis.
Citizen is not the same as natural born citizen.
The only time that distinction matters is for President.

I am not disputing the fact that Harris is a 14th amendment citizen, equal to all others save for ONE salient distinction; that of eligibility to the office of POTUS, under Article II, Section 1, clause 5 of the US constitution.
Whatever one thinks what the meaning of Article II, Section 1, clause 5 is, it is clear that the adoption of the 14th amendment did not alter it in any constitutional sense. How else can you account for the fact that the constitution only specifies for the office of senator and representative citizenship for a period of 9 and 7 years respectively, while the constitution requires the POTUS, to be NATURALLY born, owing allegiance to no other country? That is the ONLY constitutional provision for NBC. Obviously, there is a singular distinction with regard to that office. Under Jamaican and Indian citizenship law, Harris, thru her parents, owed allegiance to both of those countries AT HER BIRTH. It was conferred upon her by law owing to those countries citizenship laws, just as valid as our own.
The framers of the constitution were patriarchs. (Yes I understand that is completely out of tune with modern sensibilities, but nonetheless it is true.) They believed that the citizenship of the FATHER was conferred upon his children. SCOUTUS incorporated in toto the ENTIRE 212th paragraph of Emerich De Vattel’s Law of Nations in their 1814 Venus merchantman case as they defined what an NBC is. Here is the money quote that Justice Livingstone that was cited when he wrote for the majority, “The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.”
Until the constitution is amended, or until the SCOTUS makes a definitive ruling for the first time in US history as to what an Article II NBC is with regard to POTUS eligibility, I will refer to stare decisis definitions of NBC in prior rulings. Harris is not eligible under that criteria.
I suspect the reason that many do not want this issue formally examined is that they wish to foster and enhance the globalist influence on the office of POTUS. The NBC requirement was never intended to be a guarantee of allegiance, but a safeguard against undue foreign influence on the office of POTUS, PARTICULARLY from a father owing allegiance to a foreign sovereignty. The oath of naturalization requires a formal and legal renunciation of any prior national allegiances.

That “dominant legal principle” that you cite did not hold true for children born into chattel slavery. That was one of the reasons for the adoption of the 14th amendment. Prior to it’s passage, you became a citizen of the US due to your recognition as a citizen of a state. Since many former Confederate States would not recognize newly freed slaves as citizens of their states, the 14th amendment made US citizenship automatic upon the fact of birth to parents legally anywhere within the borders of US jurisdiction, territories or states, thereby reversing the previous order for determining Federal citizenship.
