I still don’t think anyone gets it. The Trump Co. has been internationally for 30 years. That means their risk team needs to do extensive SWOT analysis to ensure building somewhere will not cause risks that can financially hurt the company. This means intelligence has to be done in a foreign country at the national, regional and local levels.
If anything, Trump has more foreign policy experience then most people in government.
