After U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, D-Calif., implored Americans of good conscience to publicly confront White House officials over their policies, leading Democrats joined with Republicans to denounce Waters’ comments as uncivil.
It was one of the few acts of bipartisanship that Democrats have engaged in since the advent of the Trump administration, and it was by far the most harmful. Not only because Waters, who lived through the civil rights movement, understands that oppressors do not buckle to civility. It was harmful because Waters’ fellow Democrats — including leaders Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer — wrongly believe that tyranny can be combated with polite discourse.
That naive worldview is exactly why Democrats find themselves out of power. And if the only thing they can find to criticize is the one Democrat who wants to stand and fight an administration that seeks to disenfranchise, discriminate against and disrespect every nonwhite, non-Christian person who steps on American soil, Democrats do not deserve to retake Congress in the midterm elections.
This latest example of Democratic futility began with the Trump administration's policy of separating families that illegally crossed the southern border. After 2,300 migrant children were locked in government-funded detention facilities, Waters spoke out....

I miss the times Sheila Jackson Lee would take any statement from Maxine as a challenge. And they’d often spend a week trying to one-up each other on stupidity. Dems have managed to shut Lee down and Maxine is no longer at the top of her game without the competition. It is a shame that Dems try to keep their blacks quiet. Booker and Ellison try but they aren’t in the same league as Lee and Maxine.
My comments would result in a lifetime ban from FR.

The Tribune has turned off comments while they ‘review’ their commenting policy. I think they must not be liking the comments.
Yahoo! News did a “gotcha” article about the “death camps” that Trump is setting up for all the Latino Anne Franks that I posted here as a thread. Comments were about 95% negative towards the reporters and media in general. Blue Wave my butt.
Those death threats are probably coming from her own party after POTUS deemed her the Face of the RAT Party.

So Maxine Waters has become Bull Conner, when is she going to get the German Shepard and water cannon to keep conservatives out of public spaces?
When will there be signs that conservatives must sit in the back of the bus?
Is she going insist that there be separate drinking fountains?
Maxine Waters wants to go back to Jim Crow laws only with her deciding who must submit to the mob rule.
She should be ashamed of herself, she learned nothing from the Civil Rights movement of the 1960s

This is how low the once great Chicago Tribune has sunk. The Tribune was once a solid Republican newspaper in a Democrat city. But once America hating Clarence Page became an Editor, the “Trib” became the Obama Tribune. It is just a Liberal, unreadable rag. Line the bird cage with it.
I think Maxine should be the Leader and the Face of the Democrat Party and I encourage everyone to support her in her quest to be the Demonrat Leader.
