Irish bookie — seriously? — fuels ‘impeach Trump‘ wave, post-Helsinki
The Parker City News ^ | July 27, 2018 | Cheryl Chumley, The Washington Times

The Washington Post just with a story with this headline: “ impeachment odds hit record after Helsinki, says Irish bookmaker.”

Seriously now?

This is where the all-courts-press from the left to impeach President has headed — to a bookie operation in Ireland named Paddy Power that operates as the biggest phone-in betting outlet for both the Emerald Isle and the United Kingdom?

Wow. That’s some reach.

“The odds is impeached are now 2 to 1, or 33 percent, [Paddy Power spokesman Lee] Price told The Post, compared with 4 to 1, or 20 percent, on Monday before the news conference,” The Washington Post . “Betters also think there is a decreased chance that finishes his first term, and an increased chance that he resigns.”

Well, first off, who gives a dang what Ireland and the United Kingdom think about . They have no vote; they have no voice in U.S. politics.

Second off, who gives a dang what an Irish bookie outfit thinks about — umm, anything?

And third off — see “second off” and repeat.

The left has been on a steady roll to impeach this president, no matter how, no matter the lack of impeachable behavior, no matter the insanity of calling for impeachment before he even takes office (yes, talking about you, Rep. Maxine Waters). It’s impeach, impeach now, and impeach at all costs.

But news flash. Memo to gamblers.

He’s not going to be impeached. He’s not going to be impeached because, well, he’s not committed any impeachable offense. That’s it, in a nutshell. And no amount of media swell reporting to the contrary — no amount of betting odds to the contrary — can change that nutshell.

The smart money, whether overseas or within the United States, is on that. The winning money, in fact, says takes a second term.

Well, at least they come by that line of thinking ‘honestly’ - sounds suspiciously like ‘we have to pass Obamacare to know what’s in it.

I puked then, and I puke now.

I wonder if this is the same moron who prematurely decided to declare Clinton the obvious winner prior to the election and actually coughed up cash to those betting on Clinton.

Take the opposite side of that bet all day long at 4:1 or even 2:1

Reminder that Paddy Power lost millions of dollars after paying out early to people who bet on Hillary Clinton to win the 2016 presidential election.

https://www.cnbc.com/2016/11/09/after-paying-out-early-on-a-clinton-win-trump-victory-costs-irish-bookmaker-5-million.html

They do this all the time, make big, pre-mature public payouts to get media attention.

Isn’t this the same outfit that paid out to the Hillary bettors BEFORE the election?

Probably more than one, but I'd say he was among them and I wonder if he ever got his money back? I doubt it.

I actually wrote to this jerk and asked him if he thought he had been used by Soros who was willing to make big bets to sway his line. He answered “Maybe but I don’t know about American politics.” Schmuck is being taken again.

The chances that Trump will be impeached by the Democrats if they win the House are 99%. They will find any reason to do it because their deranged base demands it and Mueller will write up a report that will give them plenty of mileage to go on with obstruction of justice with no underlying criminal activity, like scooter libby.

Now, the probablity Trump will be impeached and removed from office is probably 1% since the Senate would need 67 votes and the support of more than a dozen Republicans but it’s possible some republicans hate him so much they’ll vote to remove.

I don’t think impeachment is that bad a thing for Trump. It’ll fire the base up like never before and create fire and fury he’ll use to ride to a 2020 win. Impeachment boosted Clinton’s approval ratings. Independent voters don’t like partisan impeachment games.

I am really surprised they are still in business after paying out on Hillary’s victory prematurely.

I’ve heard there are 4:1 odds that ‘Paddy Power’ burns to the ground before the end of the year.
