It’s always amusing to have a Dem tell you earnestly that theirs is the party of the working class, as if claiming it makes it so, and never mind the shellacking they took laboring under that happy illusion in ‘16. There were two overweening working class issues that election: stopping illegal immigration and cultivating jobs in this country, and Trump owned them both. And he still does - nothing in the Democrat platform listed in the story even addresses those issues other than complaining that they just haven’t found the right set of lies yet to offset Trump’s advantage.

So the white working class should get along with people who work towards their impoverishment and marginalization or worse? The white working class is moving away from the Democrats because they are finally waking up and the Democrats are panicking.
Democrats are suddenly realizing that their constant race baiting is costing them too many white votes. More blacks are starting to break the Democrats’ iron grip as well partly because they sense new possibilities for a better life, partly because they see the old Liberal ideas are killing so many of their children and partly because maybe some of them are starting to let go of their own prejudices.
