Bush is the jock/preppy/fratboy who gets pleasure kicking anybody who is too eager to fit in and never will to the curb.
In other words Cruz wants to be liked by everybody, but is not very likable.
Bush-43 has a likable persona but most conservatives are turned off by him now, having seen his true colors.
