Senator Mazie Hirono thinks Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is not telling the truth about the sexual assault he allegedly committed as a teenager.

Truth? What is this thing, truth? Can we feel it, see it, touch it? How do we know truth when, somehow, we come into contact with it? Is it some immutable, unchanging solid fact in reality, on display for all to see? What virtues do we assign to this truth? Does it know its name when called upon, or must men only blindly stumble around and by sheer accident blunder into the truth?
Is the truth the same for everybody? Or may we only define “truth” by setting up something called a “lie”, and label the thing we do not like as a “Lie”, therefore making its opposite the “truth”?
Inquiring minds want to know, Senator Hirono.
