Congressmen have a voice in the House. If they want a voice in the Senate, they need to put their campaigns together and get elected to the Senate.

The House of Representatives is the ghetto of American government.
I worked around lots of liberals. The thing that never failed to amaze me is their persistent refusal and/or intellectual inability to acknowledge the potential for unintended consequences. Logic, facts and the lessons of history are completely lost on them.
They live in a fantasy world, but worse than that is their contempt (and often hatred) for those who don’t agree with them. Trump makes them insanely angry because his every success highlights their failures.
From first grade through graduate school liberals never bump up against the concept of cause and effect, at least as it applies to things humans do. Schools have been dropping such teachings and almost all of what used to be the basic subjects bit by bit since WWII. Now they teach attitudes and political activism. Engineering and the hard sciences used to be the exceptions. They are exceptions no more.
Our education system is not the least bit interested in developing critical thinking skills. They are afraid of independent thought and what it might do to their beloved liberal agenda.
