I think there are different types of NeverTrumpers, who had very different reasons for opposing him.
Some were globalists and knew Trump was a threat to their swamp existence.
Some underestimated Trump’s appeal and honestly thought he would lose and drag the Republican Party down with him.
Others were true conservatives who misjudged Trump, believing he was only pretending to be a conservative.
I think the latter two types have realized they were badly mistaken - Trump has more than proven that he is the genuine article. And he has more than proven he is a winner.
I get the impression that NeverTrumpism has all but disappeared. The only confirmed neverTrumpers left are either leftists or globalists who wouldn’t have voted for any conservative republican, and a few diehard Bush, Kasich or Cruz supporters who are still butt hurt over how badly Trump thrashed their guy in the primaries.
I know a lot of rock solid Trump supporters who were originally neverTrumpers. They talk as if they were on the Trump train from the very beginning - I think some of them really believe it!
