If Tom Steyer is still alive 24 hours after the House passes an impeachment, the Democrats will win and the US will be an openly Communist nation in your lifetime. Someone will need to start slitting actual throats of the Democrats’ billionaire funders or this game is over, and soon.
I’m coming around to the opinion that every oath sworn to defend the Constitution from domestic enemies was a false one, and therefore I am not willing to be the one to do the deed, I am getting the hell out before I get sent to the gulag for wrongthink.

We’ve discussed that. At 70, we’ll probably stick it out here. We’ve heard Panama and Costa Rica should be considered but leaving now would be practically impossible.
I think it’s time purchase a small island about 500 - 1000 miles off the coast of the USA so we can watch the carnage from afar.

Why is that, exactly. I fail to see any connection between the first part of that sentence and the second.
If Trump does get impeached and there is momentum in the Senate to remove him, we will have a war. At home and abroad.
Trump has put his and his family’s life, liberty and property on the line. Although he may not have realized it when he signed up for the job, he should know by now that the commies won’t just leave him alone on a pretty little vacation island. For Trump, this is not only about preserving the nation, but saving his own neck. A war will be necessary to invoke martial law and execute the traitors.
I realize that Trump doesn’t want to invoke emergency powers. But if he doesn’t, we are going to get a very bloody civil war.
