Cruz added that the House "doesn't care about the basis" for impeachment.
If these are the standards from now on, I expect impeachment of every Democrat president whenever there is a GOP-controlled House. There doesn't need to be any reason - impeach.

If RBG dies, the House will move on impeachment immediately. The goal will not be to remove Trump, which the dems know they can't do. The goal will be to delegitimize his next Supreme Court pick and perhaps block the nomination.
That's probably a hypothetical. RBG is probably going to outlive Trump's first term.

I voted for Cruz in the primaries, because I liked what he was saying. I liked what Trump was saying even more, but I didn't think he was electable. Boy! Was I wrong.
Now Trump hasn't done everything he said he was going to do, but then he's had a lot of opposition. If he had not done one good thing (think Supreme Court), he would still be better that Clinton.
We DID, indeed, dodge a bullet.
