A senior Trump ally says he expects impeachment proceedings against Donald Trump - despite Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi attempting to steer party members away from the move.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, chair of the senate judiciary committee, made the prediction on Twitter on Tuesday morning.
He declared that the ‘radical left’ is now in charge of the Democratic Party, meaning attempts by House Speaker Ms Pelosi to avoid divisive impeachment proceedings will fail.
“Nancy Pelosi is not in charge of the Democratic Party. The radical left is in charge.
“So, I will expect that there will be impeachment proceedings against President Trump.”
Speaking to Sean Hannity on Fox News on Monday night, he said he expected a “stampede” by the so-called radical left to impeach the president.
He said he “hates” that Mr Trump will have to go through the process, but believes the Mueller report, released in a heavily redacted form last week, “vindicates” the president.
The end result of impeachment proceedings, he predicted, would be Mr Trump’s re-election in 2020.

This ticks me off no end. There is no stinking crime by the PRESIDENT!!!
The goal is not to actually impeach & remove Trump. The goal is to keep the media fed with a constant stream of negative news about Trump, which they can further exaggerate and speculate on, in a pitiful attempt to turn public opinion against Trump, and to provide “cover” for Democrats and RINO’s for a reason why they won’t support Trump’s agenda.
Of course there will be impeachment proceedings, all geared for the election coverage.
We will have a democrat candidate, the MSM, and democrat Congressional impeachment all campaigning against Trump in the months before the election. That is, unless Trump goes on the offense and declassifies some documents.
Time to get the guns out. Go ‘Rat hunting.

Trump just tweeted that if the House proceeds with Impeachment Hearings, he will challenge the Constitutionality of the process at the Supreme Court as a purely political act if there is no “High Crime or Misdemeanor.”
Killing the “Scarlet Letter” censure nature of a failed Impeachment would be good for America.
If Nancy Pelosi is Speaker of the House doesn’t she have to power to deny the members of her party from putting impeachment on the floor for a vote?
Of course she is. Otherwise, she wouldn’t run her fat, ugly mouth the way she does.

Has anyone seen any analysis on whether there are enough vulnerable democrats such that the impeachment wouldn’t be successful? It seems to me, those that aren’t in districts where a glass of water with a D next to it could be elected, would be disinclined to go with this.
Their plan for Nixon may have worked....but President Trump has not let us down....and has fought their FALSE accusations with every means possible.

When President Trump dies, he will have so much Republican steel in him that they will not bury him. They will send him to a foundry to be melted down.
Nixon was impeached in 1974. America had an intractable OIL CRISIS and recession in 1974. The economy is slightly different, people aren't as angry and mad at government.
Graham doesn’t need Trump’s help in SC to get reelected.
