Does Congress feel the need to legislate any longer? Or just fling sht upon the wall and hope that it sticks.

I think the whole gang received secret pardons from Obama after Election Day.

That is why we have not seen indictments fly.

Democrats do not fear the citizenry. They do not fear the consequences of their actions. The Rat coup plotters need to start being aggressively investigated, arrested, tried and executed for sedition and treason. If the existing judicial system won’t do it, then we will need to move to peoples’ courts to have any chance of correcting the course of the country.

The goal is not to actually impeach & remove Trump. The goal is to keep the media fed with a constant stream of negative news about Trump, which they can further exaggerate and speculate on, in a pitiful attempt to turn public opinion against Trump, and to provide “cover” for Democrats and RINO’s for a reason why they won’t support Trump’s agenda.

"This ticks me off no end. There is no stinking crime by the PRESIDENT!!!"

Of course you (we) are upset and yes there is no crime. The unfortunate truth is that "high crimes and misdemeanors" are whatever the House of Representatives declare them to be. Impeachment is a political process. It is not a criminal court proceeding with rules of evidence and reasonable doubt.

STROLL DOWN MEMORY LANE-—Bill Clinton gets impeached

Only recently, Monica Lewinsky came clean and made clear that a sitting President, Bill Clinton, suborned perjury from her. An impeachable offense, for which the penalty is loss of his law license.

All of Clinton’s crimes happened while he was a sitting president: 47 Oral Office visits from Monica; 17 taped phone sex interludes; subornation of perjury, lying under oath, hush money, etc etc etc.

Clinton lied under oath about suborning Monica. Five of the charges against him were for obsruction of justice.

MORE EGREGIOUSLY.....Clinton even went so far as to have Lewinsky give Linda Tripp written instructions, coaching Linda on how to properly perjure herself in the Willey matter. (Linda didnt buy it.)

THE LIST GOES ON AND ON: Bill’s intimate pal, Vernon Jordan, arranged a $40,000-per-year cushy government job for Lewinsky shortly
after she signed ......but before she filed...... a falsified affidavit saying she had NOT had sex with the president.

As insurance, Clinton had another pal, his Ambassador to the United Nations, Bill Richardson, personally visit Lewinsky at the Watergate to offer her a government job to shut her up.

AND THIS David Schippers was asked by his friend, Congressman Henry Hyde, to be Chief Investigative Counsel for the US House Judiciary Committee. Schippers, a lifelong Democrat, accepted and took the job in April 1998. The Hyde Committee was holding an inquiry on whether Clinton had committed impeachable offences in his handling of the Paula Jones sexual harassment suit..... during which Clinton committed perjury regarding his affair with Monica Lewinsky. The committee in December 1998 voted to impeach Clinton........a decision supported by Schippers.

On December 10, 1998, Schippers said to the committee:
“The President, then,
<><> has lied under oath in a civil deposition,
<><> he lied under oath in a criminal grand jury.
<><> he lied to the people,
<><> he lied to his Cabinet,
<><> he lied to his top aides,
“And now he’s lied under oath to the Congress of the United States. There’s no one left to lie to.”

Upon the passage of H. Res. 611, Clinton was impeached on December 19, 1998, by the House of Representatives on grounds of perjury to a grand jury (by a 228–206 vote) and obstruction of justice (by a 221–212 vote).

The Senate voted not to remove the impeached president.

Exactly.

Rush Limbaugh says not to be too certain that the GOP-led Senate would acquit Pres Trump though, since most RINOs secretly hate him and many are Deep State themselves.

That is my only fear.

If Linda Graham is sure of this, he can do much good by bucking up his fellow Senators and exposes those who are two-faced. (I’m looking at you, McConnell!).

“So, I will expect that there will be impeachment proceedings against President Trump.”

...

Fake News headline. Graham wasn’t warning Trump at all. He was giving a theatrical performance for his Twitter followers.

Sadly, I think such a court challenge would fail.

The Constitution does not define what a High Crime or Misdemeanor is. It is up to Congress to decide.

WE Trump supporters need to start a sounding off about this, nd ensure RINOs in the Senate know their careers are through if they don’t support the President.

I lament all the talking about it here and the conservative press but no action.

Venting about it here is cathartic but I think stifles our action.

What can we do?

Right you are. So the not-so-silent coup will continue with the moral guidance of President Pelosi, flanked by the flogging media along with the castrated Republican leadershit.

Count on it, by the time Election Day arrives many voters will do anything to stop the insanity and that includes voting for anyone who is not Donald Trump. This is their plan.

President Trump is not a “professional politician”...
He will not be politically correct with these people...He won’t lay down for them...

He is a fighter and a fighter such as the pansy politicians in Washington have never seen...He knows when to go easy and when to slap the sh!t out of them...

His timing is impeccable...

I blame ourselves for this. We should have held the House in 2018. But not enough of us bothered to get to the polls - we failed Trump.

Nixon was not impeached. He was told that if he did not resign, impeachment proceedings would be brought in the House.

Two reasons why we did not hold the Congress in 2018: 1) Paul Ryan did less than nothing as Speaker and announced his retirement to make money as a lobbyist 10 months before the end of the term; 2) Corrupt Mueller dragged his “investigation” on for 2+ years until after the election raising the insinuation Trump was guilty of something when he knew he was not. The Dems will never have the vote to remove Trump in the Senate - but they will have Romney, Collins, Murkowski, Alexander and maybe even Tillis and Burr. The rewards for a McCain-style bootlicker of the media and Dems are just too great.

Defining words and terms in the Constitution is what the SCOTUS does. I do not think it is Congress’ job to do that.

But, I am not a lawyer. Maybe a lawyer could chime in on this.

I am sure that Trump has many Constitutional scholars on his side who want to remove the the political “reversal of an election” or “Scarlet Letter” aspect of Impeachment and put it back to its correct place. I do not think he would not have thrown it out there unless it was credible.
