You may not like Frank Luntz the pollster, but sometimes he did hit right on the nail.
As I was told just recently - "Capitalism is a phony term created by Marx anyway."
Free enterprise
This is why the MSM is so quick to crown Uncle Joe as the Democrat nominee because they think he has the only chance to win. They don’t think Comrade Sanders or any other of the clowns already announced can win.
Capitalism Has Become A Dirty Word until you get Raped by Socialism
Think how amazing that sounds for a moment.
How screwed have we become...
“Sometimes he did hit right on the nail!”
Yeah, and stopped clock is right twice a day!
Frank Luntz is the “resident fat turd” on Fox! He and Jerrold Nadler (aka Nadless) eat at the same hog trough!
Little know secret - leftist radicals do not enjoy the ‘socialist’ label.
>> pollster Frank Luntz shares his finding that the term “capitalism” no longer polls well with the American people
uh huh, that’s why everyone under 60 is working on a side hustle to bring in additional cash and trying to monetize so much activity.
I’m not sure he even knows which end of the hammer to hold onto
That's true but ironically it's the correct term.
Free enterprise isn't free. There's always going to be some regulation and taxes involved, regardless if it's at the local, state, or federal level. Might as well embrace the term and redefine it like the Left has done with the word Progressive.
“Capitalism” -George Reisman (1996)
I aint skeered.
>>As I was told just recently - “Capitalism is a phony term created by Marx anyway.”
I’ve been thinking along those terms the past couple of years myself.
Meanwhile in France, the riots continue.
Of course capitalism is a dirty word.
When the socialized schools and colleges and media beat the drum, continuously that capitalism is bad and the cause of all lifes ills and NEVER talk about Venezuela or Russia or Cuba or China or North Korea or... you get a bunch of mind numbed robots that spew the party line.
Same as global warming.
And much of this was driven by Obama and the socialist forces and continues to fostered on us.
How about this sloagan?
“Hillary in 2020 because Bernie needs another new house.”
Actually Benjamin Disraeli used the term “capitalist” at least 3 years earlier in his 1845 work Sybil, than Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels who used the term capitalist in The Communist Manifesto in 1948 to refer to a private owner of capital.
It’s a shame capitalism has become a dirty world. The problem isn’t capitalism. It’s that what we exist under now is Fascism.
How about, we give the economic system now commonly known as “capitalism” a DIFFERENT connotation?
Call it “personal economic freedom”, or “enlightenment”, or a synonym that captures the meaning of the intention to earn the rewards for initiative and prudent investment in growth.
Because this economic system does adhere closely to the growth of a crop from preparation of the incubating seed bed, to the scattering of the seeds that will constitute the crop, to the tending and protection of that growing crop, to the harvest, and the further utilization of the harvest, including keeping back a portion of the seed to produce another crop in the coming season. The stewards of this strategy to increase and expand the harvest, to be traded to others for various goods and services, are the guardians of the future.
An expectation of that prosperous future is what fuels the enterprising spirit in the quest for expansion and bountiful harvest.
Serious agricultural study is the essence of this understanding of the cycle of growth that leads to prosperity.
Unless, of course, people just cannot stand prosperity.
Asked about the AOC proposal to impose a 70% tax on the top 1% of taxpayers, 79% Clinton voters agree, and so do 46% of Trump voters.
46% of Trump supporters agree with taxing the rich. I find that a little hard to believe myself.
I still think Dinobernie will be the nominee. He has money, organization, the sense he was screwed last time, and then there is Biteme, who I don’t think can go through many weeks without destroying himself.
Oh, and a story came out this week that Dinobernie was quietly corralling superdelegates-—the people who stole the nomination from him last time.
