De Blasio Can’t Beat Trump. He Can’t Even Troll Him.

Last October, a pair of housing activists ambushed the mayor at my gym, knowing it’s the one place he’d reliably show. “I’m in the middle of doing my workout,” he told them.

The most memorable of this city’s mayors tend to be energetic, king-size personalities with bad manners and little tolerance for inefficiencies. Fiorello LaGuardia, famously, wanted to be seen as the man who turned out the lights in City Hall when we went to sleep and turned them back on when we woke up. Ed Koch had his jack-in-the-box routine — “How’m I doin’?” — and appeared to be governing the city right into his 80s. Rudolph Giuliani may have been a snarling dog with chunks of couch stuffing caught permanently between his teeth, but he was indefatigable and was seen, rightly or wrongly, as the man who subdued an untamable city (and genuinely did subdue our anxieties in the first months after Sept. 11). Even Mike Bloomberg, a guy set on a much lower frequency, was the steady technocrat and philanthropist who restored New Yorkers’ faith.

In a city with this history of colorful mayors, de Blasio somehow manages to be a shade of muddy taupe. If he can’t distinguish himself here, how does he expect to distinguish himself on the national stage?

The one New York trait he does share with many of our past politicians is questionable ethics — or at the very minimum, bad ethical judgment. De Blasio’s fund-raising has been aggressively investigated by the U.S. attorney’s office; one of his donors, Harendra Singh, pleaded guilty in 2016 to bribery charges involving a restaurant lease, and the government made clear that the mayor took steps to help him.

Corrupt slime ball....lazy beyond belief

Yet he was elected with 72% of the vote (read that someplace). What does that say about New Yorkers? Are they unaware of the loathsome personalities, philosophies, and ethics of their elected officials? Or are they aware of them and agree that combination of promised tyranny, corruption, and dishonesty best represents them. I'm pretty sure it's the latter.

De Blasio lives in his own make-believe dream world totally blind to what the majority of America is like. He sees everything blindly through NY/Marxist glasses.

He has no idea how a majority of America despises everything NY.

He’s thus an idiot, who will go absolutely no where.

Happy to see him go in the tank numbers-wise........

Lock up his thieving wife.

This clown epitomizes Dunning-Kruger

In the field of psychology, the Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people mistakenly assess their cognitive ability as greater than it is. It is related to the cognitive bias of illusory superiority and comes from the inability of people to recognize their lack of ability. Without the self-awareness of metacognition, people cannot objectively evaluate their competence or incompetence.

Ja, Wilhelm ist runnink fuer Praesident.

Cuffing Teutonic socialist even changed his name and tried to demonstrate his “inclusiveness” by marrying a black bisexual female, sort of giving him a double token with the black community and the LGBT community. Nice cover, how does he stack up with the Muslims?
