Democratic 2020 presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg admitted during his Sunday town hall on Fox News that when he talks about fair taxes, what he means is higher taxes.
The South Bend, Indiana mayor took a question early in the evening about fiscal responsibility.
New Hampshire state director of the Concord Coalition Tyler Sweeney asked, We reached $22 trillion in national debt. What would a President Buttigieg do to restore fiscal responsibility?
Buttigieg began by attacking the Trump tax cuts, saying, You dont blow a hole in the budget with an unnecessary and unaffordable tax cut for the wealthiest. Part of it is do no harm.'
Mayor Pete went on to argue that debt and deficits can play a legitimate role in a functioning economy as long as the debt is tied to programs or initiatives that will eventually pay for themselves.
When candidates, Democrats, go out promising as I think we should that were going to have major increases in investment in things like education, health and infrastructure, we also gotta be willing to say where the revenues going to come from, Buttigieg explained.

“You dont blow a hole in the budget”.
So he has experience and knowledge in that area.
Forget the whole homosexualist ideology issue, this guy is a hard core Marxist like his father... I hope the “gay” loving, brainwashed sheeple don’t fall for him.
JEER THE QUEER.
Biden , Sanders and Beto need to point out his youth and inexperience compare the Sanders & Biden’s years of knowledge.
this guy’s a clown. if he wasn’t gay he’d be invisible like governor what’s-his-name in Montana
Each and every policy espoused by each and every democrat candidate will adversely affect the people’s freedom and prosperity.
Anybody that votes for these vermin is either brainwashed or brain dead.
If elected he promises to change his name to Peter Puffer Spermrecepticle
“..tax cut for the wealthiest”
Still hung up on that old line. Arbitrary numbers but here’s the logic: 10% of $50,000=$5,000...10% of $1,000,000=$100,000. See? They got $95,000 more! TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH!!
Even with the tax cut the federal government collected more in taxes in the last fiscal year than ever before. Out of control spending is the problem - not taxes.
Out of control spending is how marxists like Buttgeek buy votes.
Anyone taken a good look at South Bend’s budget lately...
Go ahead, raise taxes and tank the economy.
So we are going to tax the billions that are wire transferred into Mexico by non-citizen tax cheat then, Bootygeuse???
“Fair” would be to tax the roughly 50% in this country that pay no Federal income tax.
Yep! He is a democrat, for sure! No question!

IMO, just a ‘horrible’ rebuttal. Though true, the *problem* is the unconstitutional/illegal size and scope of GOVT. The ‘out of control spending’ is a symptom, not the root cause.
