Democrats fear Trump, Republicans are making inroads with Hispanic voters in Florida
The Miami Herald ^ | June 20, 2019 | David Smiley

When Donald Trump’s campaign manager said in Miami recently that he planned to launch a national Hispanic outreach effort in Florida, Democrats took notice.

The state’s 2.2 million Hispanic voters make up an outsized portion of Florida’s electorate, and nearly two-thirds voted in 2016 for Hillary Clinton. Last year, Trump’s hard-line immigration policies and rhetoric contributed to sweeping Republican losses around the country as strong Hispanic turnout helped Democrats take the House of Representatives.

But the belief in demographic destiny is dead among Florida Democrats, crushed in November by victorious Trump-backed candidates who more than reversed his 2016 losses among Sunshine State Hispanics. In races decided by the thinnest of margins, Florida’s Hispanic voters swung back to the right just enough to deliver wins to two of Trump’s top allies, keeping the governorship in conservative hands and turning over a Democratic U.S. Senate seat to the Republicans...

some of those Florida “hispanic’ voters are from Communist Cuba. They recognize the communistic D=Soroz-nazi party for what it is. And maybe they tell other voters about it, too.

Still, the GOP in general has to reach out a whole lot better than it does, to everyone but certainly including Spanish=speaking neighborhoods and media! and Chinese and black too....it sometimes seems as if some GOP campaigns totally ignore large numbers of potential voters

Based on the Millenial Milly video I watched today, recorded at the Trump rally, they may be right. One couple travelled all the way from Panama to see him.

“Democrats fear Trump, Republicans are making inroads with Hispanic voters in Florida”

as well as they should: Trump is indeed making inroads with hispanics AND blacks, and not just in Florida ... AND he’s doing it without pandering ... Trump is simply fostering a blazing economy that benefits all AMERICANS who want to work, regardless of race, color, gender or creed ...

No. They don’t. “Reaching out” is what Dems do and it’s called pandering. Trump won and will win again because he treats everyone the same, that is, he treats all of us as AMERCIAN citizens without reference to race, color, gender or creed ...

Why shouldn’t he? The damn democrats haven’t done anything for them, and many are in the US because they saw socialism up close and personal.

Hispanic support for El Trumpo is solid in Florida.

What the hell does that mean? The pubbies cannot out pander the demonRATS.

The pubbies advertise on spanish radio and TV stations, the latinos are supposed to be family orientated, against abortion, hard working, just came here for a "chance at a better life", they don't want a handout, just a hand up...

If I missed a coupla of demonRAT talking points, some one else can fill in the blanks.

i did not intend for any pandering.
just hold rallies or speeches or press conferences or barbeques etc... in all kinds of neighborhoods...and as you note, use all media

let the D-commie=nazis pander... and if the R’s will only speak truth and be welcoming, MANY socalled “minority” and
enthic” voters will appreciate it...will support the R’s

there are some common values, also some folks get sick and tired of being pandered/lied to

The one thing I think is wrong in the article is that Hispanics gave the house back to the democrats. I think it was white women in the suburbs.

Hispanic unemployment is at an all time low. He mentions that in every rally speech.
