Fried dough is a favorite in the country fairs around here, sprinkled with cinnamon or powdered sugar.

I make it when the weather turns cold. We crave that sort of thing in winter. Trick is to stretch the dough really thin and have oil really hot. Quite good.
Too humid right now in the Midwest for this sort of food, IMO.
