The rural United States obviously prefers an administration that doesn’t want to micro-manage all aspects of their lives.
The real question is why the electorate in large, high-tax, high-crime urban areas continue to vote for these lying, socialist frauds.

Well, then, in the coming months they will be trying to “adopt the language of rural America”. That is their only hope, so they will try. It will look and sound pretty stupid — just as it looked and sounded when they tried to adopt the language of religion in 2006 and 2012.
From a big city girl: I think rural intelligent voters can’t stand the way the liberal media treat them as dumb hicks. Rural voters of all colors see through this patronizing.

I live in a county that is 50% hispanic, 45% white, and 5% other with 15% of the population being illegal, non-citizens.
I’ve been playing city league sports for about 5 years and when the season ends, I’m done due to racism from the other teams and the referees. We are the last majority-white team and we’ve often suspected racism from the refs, but last week one of them tapped me on the shoulder and said if he had made that particular call, he would have never heard the end of it, which was patently untrue. He was black and we are a team of professionals who almost never protest a single call from any color ref. There are no white refs left, not a single one.
The league has shrunk from 50 teams in 4 divisions to 30 teams in two divisions in the time I’ve been here and none of the big companies will sponser teams anymore, mostly due to perceived favoritism for minority groups. Our team is sponsored by an accounting firm (so we play for free) but after our game last week, we don’t have enough players interested in continuing next season. Finally, someone admitted what we have all been thinking...we get discriminated against because we are white. You could tell all the men were uncomfortable with the statement but none objected.
We play 10-game seasons and loser-out playoffs which give you up to 3 more games. We were 7-2 going in to our final regular season game and we lost. Three days later, on a Sunday, no less, the league organizer sent a text saying we lost a playoff game and our season was done! Not one of us knew we were in the playoffs because the schedule had playoffs starting this week.
We won the top-division championship 3 years ago but have lost the last 2 years to an all-black team comprised mostly of young men who have been suspended from the local college team due to academic problems. That being said, they are our favorite team to play because they don’t play dirty and they don’t talk trash-ever! We play them 2-3 times per season and each game ends with hand shakes and “good job”. If the other teams and the refs were good sports, we’d continue on, but since they’re not, we’re moving on and the league can continue to see teams drop out and revenue decline.
Many of those rural Republican states have Democrat controlled cities. City votes are almost always reported after the rest of the state votes allowing the Democrat vote counters in the cities to “find” or to change sufficient votes to counter the Republican majority in the rest of the state. It was tested on the bare edge of openly in two or three places in 16 and 18. It evoked NO response from the Republicans beyond, “Oh well, I guess we lost.” Unless there are truly major changes in the system or the landscape the system will be rolled out to many states in 2020. I am betting now that DJT and AG Barr will make the necessary changes and alter the political landscape immensely with the upcoming revelations and trials re the Russia conspiracy and the Epstein affair and surely the Clinton spy affair.
I’m so sick of this crap. They spend 3 solid years every presidential cycle talking trash about rural ‘jesusland’ America, and then Iowa happens, where like a flipped switch, the DNC/Media become the best friends of those same people.
What the Dems. should really fear is the recent Zogby poll showing Blacks give trump a 28% favorability rating and Hispanics give him a 49% Favorability rating. I don’t know where the traditional Democrat Jewish vote stands, but I suspect that the actions of the “Squad” will cause a lot of that to go to Trump. If the Zogby numbers stay there through the election, the Democrats will get slaughtered.
