Pence cheered during SC fundraiser amid 2024 rumors, while Sanford told to ‘take a hike’

ANDERSON — Vice President Mike Pence told an enthusiastic crowd of 3,000 conservatives Monday night that he was in South Carolina’s Upstate for only one reason: to ensure President Donald Trump wins reelection next year.

“It’s time for round two, everybody,” Pence said at U.S. Rep. Jeff Duncan’s 9th annual Faith and Freedom BBQ fundraiser. “It’s on.”

Pence listed a litany of what he views as the strongest accomplishments of the Trump administration, including low unemployment, increased military spending and a raft of new conservative judges.

But Pence’s stated reason for making the trip could not entirely tamp down speculation that 2020 may not be the only election on his mind.

The event marked Pence’s third visit this year alone to South Carolina — a state that is unlikely to be particularly competitive in next year’s general election but will play a critical early-voting role in the 2024 GOP presidential primaries.

Remarkable how Mark Sanford went from hero to zero so fast. Once Presidential timber, he ruined himself and his family with that torrid affair, and the final shotgun blast was going full-on deranged NeverTrumper (and helping cost a House seat that hadn’t gone Dem in 40 years). What a disgrace.

Yes, I recall him being hot stuff.

On another matter, my suspicious about Sheriff Joe having dementia are confirmed with his new Moorish run for sheriff.

Just amazing how NONE of these guys, right-left-center, seem to be able to give it up. It’s an absolute narcotic.

Joe is nearly 90, it’s ludicrous. He should’ve been grooming a successor 15 years ago to step in once it was seen that it was time to retire. I sincerely hope the Maricopa GOP have someone who can take back this office and gently handle Arpaio.

Scary stuff. No thanks to decades of prior administrations looking the other way (or simply taking payoffs, like Bubba Clintoon was doing - the real crime that was covered up in the ‘90s, with help from traitor John Glenn).

He didn’t even stay with the whore did he? Dipshit ruined his life for nothing.

Anyway, I think he was always a zero, he just fooled us into thinking he wasn’t by doing a pretty good job as Governor. The signs were always there, he was a big backer of McStain and his ACU rating dipped to 77 in his final year in the House, Linseed got a 100% that year and FWIW Sanford was last among the 4 Republicans in career score up to that point.

I fell horrible for Katie Arrignton.

Between his sour grapes primary loss and her accident, it’s still amazing she lost in a Trump district. The GOP should take it back, though probably with another candidate other than Arrington.

At least he’s not running for the Senate again, but yeesh. He has some nerve after giving the Sherrif’s office away.

Personally I can’t believe the people of SC sent this guy back to congress after his behavior as governor. Yes it was just one district not all of SC... but still.

This guy literally abandoned his office, ran off with a woman to a foreign country, told no one where he was, lied about it, etc etc.... Sorry, you can move on with your life after a mistake, but I sure as hell would never vote for someone who behaved in such a way.

Screw gently, this old coot Apario (and especially Moore) need to be sat down by the President himself and told that they are hurting the party and need to retire permanently. If they don’t listen they should be treated no better than the democrats they help elect.

I don’t believe she’s running, nor should she.

On the take back list, it’s top 3, certainly.

Or 4.

In no particular order, Staten Island, The seat in NM, and OKC are the other 3.

Very weak primary challengers was a reason (though they performed better than they should’ve simply because he was considered damaged goods). He was one of the best members of Congress during his time in the ‘90s. By the time he returned, he was thoroughly compromised and very bitter. He forsook his family, and the “muh soulmate” mistress thing went nowhere, so all he had left was politics.

When he jumped on the Never Trump train and jettisoned his old “three terms and out” pledge, he wore out his welcome at last. Classless at the end, I would not be surprised if he voted for the Democrat just to spite Trump and defeat Arrington.

Pretty simple, his primary opponent was a loser.

And the rat was Stephen Colbert’s sister!

Anyway check this out

He’s on this list!!! LOL.

According to Politics1, she isn’t. 13 potential R candidates, 6 already declared.

I haven’t seen polling data in months on the AL race, but Moore wasn’t in the top 2. Trump isn’t going to mess with a Sheriff’s race. The AZ GOP and Maricopa folks need to have a Come to Jesus meeting with him.

The leader of the party should take out all cockroaches in the GOP kitchen.

He should reem that KY legislator that endorsed the democrat for Governor too.
