Connecticut Atty General Tong sees job as battling ‘profound threat’ of Trump administration
The Hartford Courant ^ | October 1, 2019 | Josh Kovner

Connecticut Attorney General William Tong and his 26 Democratic colleagues across the country are acting essentially as one organism as they challenge the Trump administration on nearly every front — immigration, health care, women’s rights, the environment, gun control and social justice.

Tong, who took office in January, said the Trump era “in many ways is posing an unprecedented risk to our country, not just a momentary threat, but a profound threat that colors a lot of what we are forced to talk about and confront.”

As such, he’s unapologetic about the crush of press releases flowing out of his office at 55 Elm St. The notices announce that he has signed on with other states to fight the latest proposed Trump rollback or rule change, whether it is one seen as weakening California’s emissions standards, watering down the national Endangered Species Act, narrowing access by legal immigrants to public assistance, cutting food stamps, removing safeguards against discrimination in health care or threatening women’s reproductive rights.

a national reputation as a consumer watchdog, Sen. Richard Blumenthal.

I thought he had a national reputation as a liar and a fraud.

Is there anyone left in CT - besides the politicians and those who lack the means to leave?

Acquaintances of ours just moved down here to NC. Their home values are plummeting as so many houses are on the market. Like so many others, they moved to a community because of its schools. Malloy introduced bussing, and his kids would be riding long distance to go to a substandard school.

Connecticut is s disaster. Tears my heart out.

I was just in Connecticut last weekend. Fairfield County in fact...passing by dozens and dozens of $20 million mansions in Greenwich.

The people I saw in their Ferraris didn't appear to be in a lot of danger.

The so called profound threat is to the political class who are failing or refusing to follow the Constitution. Most of these idiots are Utopians, closet liberal fascists, or globalist , socialist Bolsheviks, NOT PATRIOTS.

Wangity Tong needs to get used to the fact that AMERICA is back.

The populist Make America Great Again is here to stay. The deplorables are going to run the country whether Tong and his little priggish fellow seditionists like it or not.

He is not interested in listening to white nationalist deplorables.

To contact him would just add your name to the “dangerous white extremist” list to be rounded up in case of troubles.

If anyone in Connecticut wants to know why your state is in financial disarray and is swirling around the toilet, just look at this list of things that occupies the time of that misfit you call your Attorney General.

The profound threat of the Trump administration is the Light of Truth that President Trump casts.

Why does Tong find it necessary to battle this?

Inquiring minds can't help wondering.

It will be interesting the reaction when Trump gets reelected, I predict the deep blue states will officially declare they are not part of the USA again.....

Right now they are in open defiance of the Federal Government with respect to Immigration and Sanctuary Cities, but what’s next gun confiscation, refusal to allow ICE and other Federal Agencies to operate at all inside their states....one can only imagine the level of dangerous stupidity these liberals will go to...

“The deplorables are going to run the country whether Tong and his little priggish fellow seditionists like it or not.”

A fine sentiment. But to bring it about you better be prepared to fight Civil War #2. These people hate Trump, us and all that we stand for. They will not go quietly into the night. So far I have not seen a lot of push back from our side. Talk is not going to be enough to stop this scourge.

Apparently, idiot Conn. Attorney General Tong doesn't want to deal with Connecticut's problems.

Why Conn. is Colapsing

Connecticut is losing business, and people are moving south to escape their fiscal problems. Unfortunately, the folks who move south are bringing their failed blue state politics with them. They read the NYT and WashComPost. They vote democrat. They are ruining our southern cities. Other than that, they are fine people.

Connecticut ... hmmm....

MARCH 2014 : (CT DEMOCRAT CHRIS MURPHY )
Murphy addresses Ukraine in New Haven (March 2, 2014)
Last weekend during a visit to New Haven, U.S. Sen. Chris Murphy predicted that Russia would never send its military into Ukraine.
“I can’t imagine Russia would use military force,” said Murphy, Connecticut’s leading politician in dealing with the crisis in that Eastern European nation. “I can’t even imagine the descent into madness that would occur if Russian marched into Ukraine.”
Murphy was back in New Haven Saturday, addressing Ukraine at St. Michael’s Ukrainian Church on George Street, after Russia had in face marched in to seize control of Ukraine’s Crimean Peninsula....
Murphy is chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Subcommittee on European Affairs. In December, visiting Kiev with Sen. John McCain of Arizona, Murphy addressed a mass protest rally. . .

At least this is an honest rat. His job isn’t enforcing laws and protecting the people of his state; it’s fighting us and Trump.

I would think this dingle berry would be concerned with his state’s crime rate instead of Trump. With a population of over 3½ million people, in 2018 they had over 71½ thousand violent and property crimes with over 100 murders, 800 rapes, and close to 3,000 robberies that should keep him and his staff fairly busy. He’s got way too much time on his hands and a short attention span. Needs to get out more.
