Two armed groups on opposing sides of the ideological divide squared off at Stone Mountain, Ga., on Saturday as right-wing militias and their allies stood face to face with Black Lives Matter and other left-wing radicals who had come to oppose them.
A militia group from Georgia wanted to demonstrate their support for the monument at Stone Mountain — the largest bas-relief carving in the world that depicts Confederate Generals Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee as well as Confederate President Jefferson Davis. Black Lives Matter was there to shout down the militias.
The situation became dicey at times as there were several pushing and wrestling matches between individuals, but no severe violence.

I don’t care for the Stars and Bars. Never have. Never will.

At one of these “standoffs” someone is going to fire the first bullet.
Then the chances of all hell breaking loose - everywhere - will go up a thousand fold.
It’s already happened at multiple BLM/ANTIFA protests.
The body count rises every week.

I think they were wrong also. But if things like the statues are taken down, and the way the public education system distorts, or outright lies about things, can you trust our kids to get the proper education to learn from our history? If BLM is so interested in trying to make change, then talk to someone alive that can do something. Violence only lowers the intelligence of the situation.

This is how things get started. Are their demands unreasonable? Many are. But some should have been done already and a dialog is being opened. Start the haggling.
