I experienced a major disaster and the police were AWOL. 34% robbery rate in area. I slept in a flooded home with a shotgun. My neighbor's house was broken into twice. The 2nd time it took the police 4 hours after being called to arrive. The 1st showed up to fill out the forms, then a 2nd one. Finally a LT arrived. I knew it did not take three police officers to fill out paperwork, so I asked the LT to be have police cars patrol the area since they are a visible deterrent. He gave me attitude so I told him fine, I'm armed in my house. That set he off on another tangent. So Eyeball to Eyeball my parting words to him were 'either do your fucking job or I will do it for you!'.
He parked a police car out front of my house all night long. I slept great and did not know it was so easy to get great service!
