Well, FWIW....I don’t think most of us were surprised that 41 lost. I think he and his people were. (In fact, I know that they were).

But let’s be honest: 41 didn’t have a chance against Clinton.

While he lost his reelection bid, it was hardly unexpected, for 2 reasons. Number one his statement: read my lips, no new taxes, on his election for his first term. He then turned around and allowed the taxes to be increased rather than veto them. His second blunder was showing complete amazement of the checkout process at a store, signaling to people that he was out-of-touch with what real American’s experiences were on a daily basis.

Bush 41 was beaten by Ross Perot - due to his own refusal to take seriously a lot of the problems that populist Trump addressed in 2016.
