GOP Chair in New Mexico Says Trump Will Win State
Breitbart ^ | 31 Oct 2020 | Michael Patrick Leahy

Posted on 11/03/2020 12:05:59 PM PST by CedarDave

The chairman of the New Mexico Republican Party said on Saturday that Donald Trump will win the state’s five electoral college votes in the presidential election next week.

“What do you think the president’s chances in New Mexico on Tuesday?,” Matt Boyle, Breitbart’s Washington political editor, asked New Mexico GOP Chairman Steve Pearce on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday.

“The president called about ten days ago to ask that exact question,” Pearce said. “I told him, ‘Sir, you’re going to win on election day. Our job is keeping the win for you,’ keeping them from cheating their way into defeating the president.”

In 2016, Hillary Clinton beat Donald Trump in New Mexico by eight points, 48 percent to 40 percent.

“The polls do have the president down anywhere from six to ten [points in New Mexico], but I will tell you , we have three million total contacts, 2.1 million phone calls, 900,000 doors knocked since January of this year,” Pearce added.

A lot of those doors since August have been Democrat doors. I’ve knocked many of those places personally. They’re not usually hospitable to Republicans. So I was somewhat nervous when I would ask our door knocking teams, “How’s it going out there in this area?” “Oh fine, they’re inviting us in. They’re wanting to look at the literature. They want to know about our judges. They say they’re voting for Trump, and they’re just trying to figure out how far down the ballot to go voting Republicans.”

When you hear that from lifelong Democrats here in the state, in the numbers that our door knocking teams are hearing, I’m just telling you, the polls are not correct.

A Trump 2020 victory in New Mexico appeared to be a long shot as recently as a month ago, but Democratic candidate Joe Biden’s recent promise to end the oil industry has put the state where many jobs are dependent on that industry in play.

Lots of chances for Dems to cheat in Dona Ana County, and in the Albuquerque area. Northern NM is usually strong Dem, but some of the old-time Hispanics like their lifestyle and don't think much of windmills and solar panels despoiling the environment and positively hate federal regulations about cattle grazing, lumber cutting and all the rules that come with them.

I was at a solar panel location recently.

They basically salt the land with permanent herbicides and turn it into the surface of the moon.

I’m an oil and gas guy, and I’ve never seen the level of environmental destruction -— ever -— from oil and gas.

What they do with solar panels is truly shocking.

In reality, at best we should take back the Little Texas district in the House. It’s in the area of the state where the oil industry matters. The other two-thirds of the state, taken as a whole, will be at least 60% Democrat throughout the ballot.

Great to see New Mexico called so early. That’s a great sign.

You also have to consider the NA vote in NM. Trump has done well by the NA community. Just another demographic the ‘Rats take for granted.

Are there any liberal cause referendums on the ballot? If not, Trump stands a better chance.

The manufacturing process isn’t all that clean, either.

I wouldn’t bet on it any more, given the infestation of hippies and Californicators in recent years, but if it happens, I won’t complain. :)

And their candidate Liz-o-hontas didn’t get selected as Biden’s running-mate... She may be the most hated politician in the native american community.

Ok great but this is really nothing more than cheerleading. Everyone days in advance says their team will win. is there any data to consider yet?

That’s really interesting. Out of the many books of research I’ve read about the costs of solar, the intermittency and unreliability, the dependence on tax-breaks, the Shockley–Queisser limit, the large costs of necessary back-up, the dependence on China, the cost of landfill - I’ve never heard anyone mention this. Of course, killing all vegetation for 20 years would be an obvious necessity. Any idea what is used?

Like what the Romans did to Carthage?

Milton Friedman's rule that a government program or regulation will have the exact opposite effect of that intended works like a charm especially in the area of "protecting" the environment:

o Salt the earth to make it safe for solar panels.
o Fill the air with windmills that kill birds and bats.
o Biofuels that eat into corn crops and get the natives to clear out jungles for palm oil groves.
o Eliminate logging so wildfires have more fuel.
etc.

Lujan and her edicts may be what pushes us to Trump.

What a flaming bitch.

In Ruidoso, only the chain places (e.g., WalMart) listen to her stupid mask edicts.
