A Harvard scientist claims her colleagues were afraid of voicing support for the Wuhan lab leak theory, a possible origin for the coronavirus pandemic, because they were afraid of being “associated with Trump.”
The comments tend to indicate that experts were guided more by politics than their allegiance to ‘the Science.’
Alina Chan, a postdoctoral associate at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard University who specializes in genetic engineering, is one of 18 researchers who published a letter in the journal Science last month calling for a more in-depth investigation into the virus’s origin.

Can you imagine? About such a serious topic, they’re still concerned with petty partisan warfare.
No one was professional enough to come out with the real data. Better to have people needlessly dying than to stand with the President of the United States!
So...at best, they weren’t “following the science”, they were following the ideology and emotions.

What has become of searching for the truth? Why must “the agenda” be the driver of everything that is reported? People are catching on!

That makes them anything but experts. It makes them politicians.
“Science” contains a handful of brilliant people and a massive army of plodders. The journals are there to establish and defend orthodoxy.
It really speaks volumes about “Science” doesn’t it.
We can only guess how much they lie about “Climate Disruption” if they are willing to let so many people die (or be sacrificed) in the name of “science”.

Some scientists fudge data all the time. I (briefly) worked for one until my colleagues and I realized it was time to go before our careers were ruined by association with false publications.
This is not to say that all do, but these people, especially foreign nationals who have no dog in the hunt in US politics, have shot their credibility. One should never hold their results as credible unless verified by replication of their experiments by an uncompromised party.
Same “settled science” that the koolaid drinkers here ar FR use to claim that the frankenjabs are safe.
The desire to avoid Trump/make Trump look bad/bolster his enemies was THE DRIVING FORCE at the upper levels of US Public Health policy in the Spring and Summer of 2020.
I saw it with my own eyes.
If something good was to be done, but it would “help” Trump, it was blocked. If something wrong was to be done, as long as it hurt Trump, it was full speed ahead.
