This guy knows 30 of the casualties and over a hundred of the wounded? He was in major combat operation but he's in the Reserves now? He ordered a halt to an air strike on orphans but they told him "too late"? WTF?
He hits all the major talking points. Quotes them almost verbatim.
I know FR has the best fraud investigation unit. So is it just me or does this come off as a total fraud?

Excellent script for a George Clooney movie...and about as authentic sounding as all of his movies.

The site has Buzzflash headlines...That's a Leftist website staple...

It sounds like a script to me. On the other hand, I did get to hear one young man who recently came back talk. He was not in on the rebuilding part, just the shooting. 4 RPGS demolished his HUMVEE and left him with schrapnel in his legs, maybe for life.
He was NOT ready to go back and had NO affection for the Iraqi people. He was not to the level of this alleged report- its over the top. Still, his morale and tone had some similarities to this story.

I can't wait to see this piece deconstructed as only those Freepers who have served in the armed forces can do.

I'm against the war, but this interview sounds fishy as hell to me.

This belongs in the same fiction section of Barnes and Nobles as Hilary's book. One would think a clever writer, who wanted to make up lies to help advance his cause, would be, well.....clever. Would you have your protaganist actuallly ADMIT to reading Moore et al??? Of course not. You would have him say he is a Coulter Limbaugh loving guy who had the rose colored glasses sadly torn from his eyes. Jeez, my ten year old could write a more convincing story.

The main thing that grabs me is that there's no indication of where this guy served or in what capacity. He just made several vague allegations and kept the horror stories to almost standard Apocalypse Now fodder.
Terrence J. Wilkerson had a better backstory.

So is it just me or does this come off as a total fraud? Hard to say, but I can add that I know a pilot that is flying 45 wounded out each trip he makes to Germany. That is one day's supply of injured. He says it is not just lttle cuts, but wounds and missing body parts. His comment was that we are not getting any truth over here about the price we are paying in life and limb. The death toll is low, not becuase of low frequency of getting shot at, but because of good care for those injured.

A tip off for me that this may be bogus is that I know for a fact that the morale was extremely high and they all wanted a piece of the action....when USA says that no one wanted to go in the first place is an outright lie!

There were a spate of stories about a month ago about the wounded, but they lasted about 3 days and then vanished. At one point, Walter Reed was runing out of beds, and actually renting hotel rooms across from the hospital to use as patient rooms for Iraq war wounded.
We are getting very good at saving lifes that would have been lost a long time ago. When you see that 1,2 or 3 people died in a day, that might also mean that 10 were gravely injured, and heroically saved. They may be missing legs, arms, their ability to walk.
War is hell.

Sounds like they found some 'Don't ask, don't tell, don't laugh' holdovers from Klinton's touchy-feely, jerk-yer-pud, late 90's military bush-hogging.
What did ya expect, kids? An enlistment gig consisting of handing bags of sugar to cheering Third-World refugees? Did they forget to tell you that those M-16's are loaded for a reason? Quit whining. My drill sergeants used to bounce people off of barracks walls. I guess they send them to therapists now.
God Almighty, we're in trouble.

This reads like a cheap dime novel, and is full of holes. How does this guy know 30 of the dead soldiers, when no more than 2 American soldiers have died in any one area at a time? This whole thing just reeks of falsity, and I've read better fiction in the children's section.
